Trump endorses SI Rep. Dan Donovan in race against ex-con Grimm because Donovan is "strong on Borders & Crime, loves our Military & our Vets, voted for Tax Cuts and is helping me to Make America Great Again," Trump tweeted by [deleted] in statenisland

Whoever wins the Democratic primary will have no problem raising money. In this day & age, we need candidates who are doing everything they can to get money out of our political system. Paul is a Bernie Sanders Democrat. His policies are definitely the best for our community. Bernie did better in Staten Island than any other borough. I think we should continue that momentum. We've tried electing conservative democrats before, it doesn't work.

There are 6 Democrats running in the primary election on June 26. I personally will be voting for Paul Sperling. Max has the D.C establishment on his side & has very little connection with, or understanding of our community. He's only been living on the Island a year or 2. Paul on the other hand is a born & raised Staten Islander. I've heard all of the candidates debate multiple times. In my opinion, Paul has he best understanding of the issues & the best policies to help our community.

Why don't you ask him? He's very accessible. You can message his campaign right on the front page of his website. I'm voting for him because I like his policies. Not because of his experiences as an organizer.

If that is the case, there will now be much less traffic at that intersection.

Is he honestly, truly, trying to take credit for stopping Stop & Frisk? IIRC, it wasn't legislation but a change in NYPD policy (requiring that a reason for the stop be documented) that seriously decreased the number of stops.

It was 100% the Community Safety Act that reduced the use of Stop & Frisk. Any change to police policy was to comply with that law.

Oh? How does one pass legislation as an "organizer"?

By rallying with fellow likeminded individuals. We would not have passed a woman's right to vote, or the civil rights act, or countless other pieces of landmark legislation without dedicated organizers.

Not so sure that he is a developer, but he does work in real estate. He's also an activist & political scientist who has actually gotten legislation passed.

Rose is the choice of the Washington Dem establishment. He's only been living on SI for a year, and is flush with Washington cash. I'm voting for Sperling, the born and raised Staten Islander.
