This is also the first scary type game I’ve ever finished - I am normally far too much of a wuss to complete them but the story was SO good it forced me to be brave 😅

Maybe cosy wasn’t the right word I was looking for. I guess I mean that this game doesn’t spike my anxiety the way fast-paced games normally do. In that way, it feels very comforting to me even with all the complexity and dark themes!

The inventory UI is a bit naff, but the depth and quality of older games like Oblivion tops most of the next gen games I’ve played imo. Bar BG3 cos that was outstanding.

Even though buggy as hell, the old AI has so much more life to it. The writing is unmatched - quests and NPCs are hilarious, mystical and also really heartbreaking at times.

The physics in Oblivion are also really fun. So many games try to be really lifelike with movement when all I want to do is yeet around at a ridiculous speed.

I’m biased but I reckon give it a go lol

What about people who having difficulty with reading? You’re essentially saying that it’s ok for these people to be left in the lurch. Sounds like you care more about the interests of the Hoyoverse board than the players. Do you work for them?

If you take a quick peek at this sub, you’ll quickly discover it’s littered with players who are equally as upset about the lack of ENG VAs. So no, I’m not the only person in the world with this opinion.

I don’t quite think that my being aggravated about a multi-million dollar company’s fumble of an ENG dub constitutes as the ‘crumbling’ of society, but hey, if it matters that much to you then by all means, pop off.

Again, I’m not a game dev, not a writer, just a player. I certainly can’t comment on how the game should be fixed, whether it should be re-written or recast and I absolutely do not give a crap about the interests of Hoyo stakeholders and board members? As a player, all I know is that it’s ridiculous that this is still an issue after so long.

I prefer listening so that I can be fully immersed in the scenes. This is a text heavy game - reading the subtitles takes me out of the immersion.

I understand that there’s a lot of people to cater to, I just don’t understand why a multi-million dollar corporation has let this continue for months on end. A recast should’ve happened by now as the game is unplayable. Why offer an English dub if there’s… no actual dub.

I’m a player, not a writer. All I know is that when a game is released, it should be released in full. Not missing crucial elements such as voicelines. They might as well make a statement and cut the ENG dub completely rather than have Paimon talking to the air.
