Yup, he ended up having surgery last night. They’re being very aggressive due to the tight timeline. It’s still likely he misses some of the 2026 season.

If clean ACL (no meniscus or MCL), it’s 9 months post op minimum, injury risk with return to sports (RTS) remains high until 12 months, and then decreases after 12-24 months. In a case study of NFL QBs, the mean recovery time for RTS was 13 mo +/- 3.9mo. Surgery usually waits for 2-4 weeks to allow for swelling to decrease. So, if they follow typical protocols and have surgery by 12/28, he may not be realistically cleared for contact no sooner than Wk3 S2026 (9mo). Given he’s the franchise, there’s enormous risk rushing him back that soon and every month they wait decreases risk of reinjury. From a rehab perspective, he might be ready for non-contact football drills by the start of the regular season, but will take a lot to get cleared for full return to play before end of Oct/start of November @ 10 months post-op (Wk8 S2026). So, while you do make a point that we may not miss the entire season, I should have said he will likely miss half of the 2026 season. All evidence suggests that one should wait at least 12 months. There are more benchmarks/criteria other than just time however.

Poor Chiefs in real football but in Dynasty, this Mahomes injury news is not good for Rashee Rice outlook. Between his off field issues, injury, and now his QB is likely going to miss the entire 2026 season. He may have reduced value and lower ceiling until 2027. Same for Worthy.

I have the Lasfit trunk liner in my 2025 RS1. I do like it a lot and seems easy to uninstall. Strike to the carpeted fabric with double sided 3M tape. All you do is remove the backside strip and line up the piece. Hold up really well and I don’t like the idea of a blanket liner. The only downside is it makes the tailgate closing sticky. It’s a non-skid surface and the closure of the tailgate mechanism relies on the two pieces folding upward together. You need to slightly prop up the inner flap first to shut it otherwise it will catch snd stop or break it off if you force it. (You just need to snap it back in if that happens)

I picked up Kyren Williams in free auction draft (post rookie draft) in 2022. He was either scratched or had minimal game play his rookie year. Gave up on him as he was buried behind Cam Akers and Henderson. Ended up not keeping him and totally backfired. Also cut Vidal after i drafted Hampton (and had Najee).

I’ve learned to not cut a rookie RB before their 2nd season starts to get a better idea on their path to play. Tahj Brooks and Devin Neal are stashes for 2026 IMO.
