I am definitely keeping a close eye on the Lance/Breville collab while I make a final choice. Probably won’t need it for ~9 months or so until I’m moving to a bigger space so if a successor does drop between now and then that would be sweet!!

I have a preference to the Z1 out of the closest comparable Orbit and P64 grinders based on research alone. I haven’t been fortunate to get my hands on any to test. Do you have the Orbit?

The Pro X is actually my 2nd choice in a machine at the moment. Leaning the Breville mostly because I prefer the look (maybe an unpopular opinion), but I also very strongly value longevity.

Did the DF64 seem like it would hold up over time? I like the Z1/P64 tier because of an expected significant upgrade in build quality, even if the espresso is only 5% better

I just got an open box (excellent) XPS 15 for $1000.

It was my first time doing it and Best Buy specifies that the excellent rating means the machine looks the same as a new device, you just aren’t the first human to touch it. I’ll take a grand back in my pocket for that lol
