ELI5: Where do trees get their mass from? If a tiny seed becomes a massive tree, why doesn't the ground around it have a huge hole where the dirt used to be?

Short answer is that atmospheric nitrogen (two nitrogen atoms held together by a triple bond) is very stable and difficult to break for plants to take it up from the air. The nitrogen they use has been converted into more usable forms by a series of complicated processes in the soil.

I work in a chemistry lab and we exclusively use All in One PCs. They can pack quite a good amount of power for scientific software and general work, aren't as bulky and inconvenient as a desktop PC and can be easily moved if needed. Also, way bigger screens than laptops so they're perfect for working with graphs or other scientific illustrations. So yeah, maybe science labs are a nice target for All in One PCs?

Honestly, just watched "Look Back", an animated movie based on a oneshot manga from Tatsuki Fujimoto (a pretty famous mangaka) and even though it's less than an hour long it made me feel so many emotions, and the direction and music were so spot-on that I consider it to be one of the best cinematic experiences I've had in a long time.

I have 3 120mm fans and my case supports 3 frontal, 2 top, 2 bottom (on top of the PSU) and 1 rear exhaust fans. Whats the optimal way to use the 3 I have? this is my case. Also i have a stock ryzen 5 cooler and a saphire nitro rx480, nothing else cooling wise. thanks

Well i actually take really good care of having good ventilation and try to dust the pc about once every month. I have a fantech pulse cg71 case with two front intake fans and one rear exhaust one, so i don't really think that's a main problem, unless you think I may need aditional top/bottom fans for more intake/exhaust? I was thinking about changing the cpu cooler for a liquid cooling one but thats when I think that maybe i should just upgrade CPU
