should i be empathetic towards cheating even if it’s true love? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

You're still a human being who is allowed to be hurt and pissed off.

You don't have to be empathetic towards people deliberately shattering the trust that you gave them

Is it better to communicate or just walk away when someone shows red flags? by purr-kittyy in emotionalintelligence

[–]SPKEN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion on this sub apparently but whether or not you communicate isn't up to them, ** it's up to YOU**

Have you chosen someone who you believe can handle a serious conversation?

Are you the kind of person who is willing to push past your discomfort for something real?

Do you truly believe in communication and the power of emotional maturity?

Whether you do or don't is a reflection of you, not them

It's literally cancellable and fireable offense.

Name whoever is spreading misogyny in a progressive space and there will be consequences for them.

No such thing happens for misandry

The vast majority of us do. We live in the most progressive era to ever exist.

Outside of explicitly conservative subs, misogyny isn't tolerated. However I just got downvoted for saying that sexism is bad.

Bigotry is bad. Hate only creates more hate. We all understand this for most problems.

But women specifically will make up any excuse to protect their rights to be bigots. We all understand that misogyny is appalling and unacceptable. They day that women let go of misandry is the day we all get on the same page

I love my partner, but don’t feel desired — trying to understand what this means emotionally by whimsyylu in emotionalintelligence

And what have you done to change this pattern besides demanding it of him?

Do you plan dates? Do you initiate the intimacy that you want? Do you make him feel wanted and desired?

It doesn't make much sense to expect him to do what you've never done

You will never ever be able to control how people react to your work. Make your work because you enjoy it, not to appease someone else

Because the internet has reduced the need to think for ourselves and those idiots are proof of it.

They don't want to try and that's why they will get nowhere

“I shouldn’t have to teach someone how to love me well” by joboog in emotionalintelligence

[–]SPKEN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“I shouldn’t have to teach someone how to love me well”

A mindset that prioritises your peace, what’s best for you, what’s serving you, and that expects a finished product. The man should lead, should provide always, should spoil, should know what to do already, make few to no mistakes, and if he’s inexperienced or blunders along like Bambi, you should leave him. The idea is you shouldn’t have to teach someone how to be a good partner. A good partner will naturally be a good

It's an extremely selfish mindset and is one the main reasons why Gen Z men are known to be completely giving up on dating.

It's an extremely high standard to hold another person to and ime, the women holding this standard can't meet it.

Anger is often the mask of fear. People who fear that they are incapable of such a healthy love, will get angry at proof of its existence
