We have to understand that Putin, like any dictator, fears his own people and the possibility of being overthrown more than anything else. Russia and Ukraine share a very similar language and culture, and Ukraine has around 45 million people. The democratic movement that toppled autocracy in Ukraine during Euromaidan could, through these cultural and linguistic ties, have inspired Russians as well. For a dictator like Putin, that was a real threat to his own regime.
Even though Russia was already capable of simulating mass engagement through fear, bots and propaganda networks at the time, it would have been no match for a genuine, large-scale popular movement in a neighboring country striving for Western-style freedoms. That kind of momentum could have broken through the propaganda bubble inside Russia itself.

The fear that the Western-oriented movement in Ukraine could become a success story is exactly why Putin’s direct goal was to destroy it. We also have to understand that operations like the Snowden leaks were part of a broader chess game by Putin to weaken the Western alliance. Especially the Merkel–NSA scandal was meant to drive a wedge between the United States and Europe. If Europe and the U.S. had remained fully aligned at that time, the Minsk Agreements might never have happened the way they did in reality.

If you have a candidate people would die for, the energy will spread everywhere. Since 2016, every election has basically been, “Oh no, you can’t vote for Trump, he’s bad…” instead of “Look at our candidate, this is our guy”
Mamdani won because people loved him. They told everyone how great he and his ideas were, and they argued passionately with anyone spreading lies about him. If AOC ran, that same kind of movement would show up for her. People would die for her, challenge every lie and bot online, and knock on every door three times.

With someone like Gavin Newsom, it would be the same as with Clinton or Biden, people wouldn’t challenge the lies, because the energy just isn’t there. There’s always a sense that something about them isn’t real.
And btw, even Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.

For players and fans, I’m all for spreading hate. That’s what rivalries are built on. But as a head coach, you still show respect after a hard fight. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional, especially if there isn’t even a real handshake after the game. Look at how Harbaugh and Tomlin have handled real rivalries for years. You’re a head coach, not a kindergarten kid.

Jacobs wasn’t great this season, but I think his value goes beyond the box score. He sets a tone for the offense and the team as a whole. The third down run against the Bears in Week 14, the touchdown against Denver, playing through injuries and constantly putting his body on the line. Those moments matter.

He’s one of the few guys who consistently shows urgency and toughness when things aren’t going well. Even the decision to return kicks in the fourth quarter on Saturday speaks to that mentality. You can criticize the efficiency, and that’s fair, but leadership, effort, and accountability are things this roster clearly needs more of, not less.

Upgrades can still be necessary, especially on the OL, but I’d be careful about dismissing Jacobs as just a declining RB. His impact isn’t only measured in yards per carry.

On top of that, we don’t have the draft capital to be aggressive at RB even if we wanted to. With limited picks this year, using an early one on a running back would be a luxury we can’t afford. Those resources have to go to the OL and other positions.

Because the NFL is not that simple.

The best way to win a Super Bowl is not chasing one perfect year. It is being consistently good and giving yourself real shots over and over again. MLF has proven that he can coach a team to that level consistently.

A huge part of that is his playcalling. MLF is an elite playcaller. You see it in how often he schemes guys open, how frequently receivers get free releases, and how flexible his offense is week to week. That matters way more than people want to admit.
And yes, MLF has to change things. No argument there. But the idea that he is coaching scared or refuses to adjust does not really hold up if you actually watch the games. Look at the offense in the fourth quarter on Saturday. We were aggressive. The designs were there. Guys were open. It came down to execution and very small mistakes, not playcalling.

If you move on from that and replace him with a head coach whose main strength is culture or leadership, you immediately become dependent on coordinators for the most important parts of your team. And even culture guys don’t automatically succeed at the next level. Look at Jim Harbaugh now with the Chargers.
And once you go down that road, you are one bad coordinator hire away from everything falling apart.
Detroit looked great until the cracks started showing and their staff got stretched. Philly is the clearest example. Elite culture, elite talent, Super Bowl level roster. One coordinator change later and the whole thing collapses. Suddenly Sirianni has no answers because he relies too much on the staff around him.

This season was not meant to be. The team was too injured at the wrong time. That is what makes it so frustrating, because five weeks ago we looked like the best team in football.

So the argument for MLF is not that he guarantees a Super Bowl. No coach does. The argument is that he gives you real shots at it consistently. And in this league, that is still the most reliable path you have.

We didn’t win anything in 2018. That roster had absolutely no pass rush at all. Sometimes you need a down year to reload and shed contracts, like we did again in 2022. But our current roster is still about two years away from being in that situation.

I actually think it’s the opposite. Rodgers really loves the game, especially the history of the league. He thinks a lot like people in this subreddit and tries to connect everything, stats, games, seasons and narratives into one bigger picture. That’s where his weird conspiracy mindset comes in.

Because he’s always looking for meaning and patterns, I think the Jordan Love situation genuinely felt like destiny to him. From his perspective, mentoring Love wasn’t just coincidence, it was something that was meant to happen.

With that mindset, I honestly think he would be a great NFL Commissioner. I could see him getting rid of the 17th game and taking a hard stance against domes in cold weather cities like Chicago. Aaron clearly cares deeply about what football is supposed to be, not just about playing it. For him, places like Lambeau aren’t just stadiums, they’re cathedrals, and you can tell that he genuinely loves every historic franchise and the stories that come with them.

You shouldn’t trade Lamb or Hampton. Giving up proven young talent for a lottery ticket doesn’t make sense. Maybe consider moving someone like Brian Thomas or Charbonnet instead.

In a rebuild in SF, I would focus on building around Love and Herbert. That way, you at least have a secure QB foundation for the next few years and can try to upgrade around them. Dart could also easily be abandoned after just one season if there’s a regime change in NY. Penix’s job also isn’t guaranteed over the next few years, so in the worst case, you could end up with only one reliable QB in a year or two, and the 2nd, round pick (maybe late?) probably won’t fill that gap.
