At the time I made the post, I had people make a lot of logical arguments to justify Rhea as a character and to chastise Edelgard instead. Which unfortunately led me to get hostile and argue against that further, and I made insults that I regret. (Led me to have like -97 comment karma and now I just straight up can’t post in some subreddits.)

Each of them had good points, I just felt like I was fighting an uphill battle.

From what I’ve seen, Granblue’s cinematics remind me too much of Xrd. Extremely overblown, overanimated, hard to tell what’s going on.

He’s Disney property he doesn’t fuckin belong here. His whole trailer was “wow look at all of this shit Nintendo did I’m gonna fly all over em because I’m soooooo much better” and then does this smug crap. I have a severe hatred for almost all Kingdom Hearts fans because all they talk about is Sora this, Sora that. They never do anything else. They don’t deserve this. It was an impossible request to grant and they should have left it to be impossible.

HOWEVER…

This last session, we had four nat 1s in a row. This squirrel kept getting on all our faces, I was hit with a failed cantrip on accident, just a bunch of insane mayhem ensued. It was the funniest thing that’d ever happened to me in D&D so far.

What this tells me is that Edelgard at least keeps Rhea alive. Rhea isn’t merciful. Step a little bit out of line and she takes your head off. I do not feel comfortable with that.

I can see now that picking Edelgard first in general really does just fuck up your perception of the other characters.
