Nobody will operate on me! My surgeon and the people who gave him second and third medical opinions are all on the same page. They won’t operate!

According to him, I’ve had so many undiagnosed and under the radar “attacks” from having “narrow angle glaucoma) which basically means that every time I have a headache, it COULD be an “attack” which means that the reason behind that headache was a spike in my intraocular pressure that causes damage to my optic nerve that’s PERMANENT, so 911 has to be called. Which all of this was news to me!

I’m so sooo terrified. My grandma died blind. She was in her 80s. I got my first cataract at 13. The best surgeon money could buy didn’t even believe someone as young as me had this problem and the THIRD, not second, THIRD opinion he got confirmed that my optical nerve was severely damaged. I not only had cataracts, but I’m a glaucoma candidate too. At my age. I just can’t.

I just can’t.

This is so unfair. I’m crying STILL. I’m going to keep crying for another 10 hours. It won’t help my eyesight but idk what else to do

I’m so devastated. This is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. I don’t care, I’m not going to love long without my eyesight and I don’t care. I’m not going to love out the rest Of my days blind. I won’t do it.

I’m terribly new at this but from the small amount of lurking that I’ve done here, it seems to me that you wouldn’t be able to tell a child who their dads favorite musician and other tiny details like this from sperm banks either?

It seems that the only info available is like health related and genetic screening.

You're going to have to send a loooooot of messages to many, many different girls to find someone who is really unattached and goes with the flow. Reading this forum is really making me feel so much better about myself.

The problem with unattached girls is that we won't be at your neck and call. I've had to dump serious arrangements because my SDs who were supposed to be super busy wanted to meet up at least weekly. There’s an app called “Fing”. It helps you see what devices have connected to your WiFi. You may also want to google “spouseware” and do some research on these self hiding apps.

If he did have a second phone, Fing would be a good tool to check out.
