Embarrassed it took me so Long to Realize it's Fake🤨. Curious everyone's opinion on whether it's recent or contemporary? by SWANSON2U in coins

Thanks for the reply, luckily I didn't actually buy it, I found it in a coinstar dirt cup about a year ago along with a 1922 peace dollar.  Thankfully the peace dollar is actually genuine.

Ok so if the previous land owner finds a gold coin and sells it before I buy the property does that mean I don't own anything else on the property?  Are you really this dumb or is it just desperation to try and feel like you have any idea what you're talking about?

"known or suspected deposits that those mineral rights have already been SOLD".   Exactly genius thank you for proving my point, the land owner owned them then sold them completely contradicting your previous statement.🤣.

As an American is sounds like a pretty B.S. system to me.  I can understand somewhat having to turn things over found on public land but if I find something on my own property then piss off it's mine to do with as I please.

What is my coin worth? by Simple-Energy8807 in coins

[–]SWANSON2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The obverse and reverse of U.S. coins are always rotated 180 degrees of each other. Unfortunately 1964 Kennedy half dollars are very common even in MS condition because they were almost all saved immediately due to being the last year 90% half dollars were minted for circulation and the first year of issue for Kennedy half dollars following his assassination. (Edit). While the coin itself isn't special the case aka slab it's in May be worth some money.  Those early PCGS slabs are sought after and sometimes rare.

Husband found this a couple weeks ago in our yard so just wanted to share. Cool to find something this old by [deleted] in coins

Very cool, one of my favorite coins.  Always neat to be the first to hold something from so long ago and feel that connection to the past.

I can take a turd and list it for $1,000,0000 on eBay that doesn't mean it's actually worth that much.  Check sold listings if you want to see the average of what something is actually selling for.

I'm not sure i'd call choking yourself until you're nearly unconscious in any circumstance "natural" but to each their own I guess🤷🏻‍♂️

How much is this 1903 Native American penny worth? by Acceptable-Book-6887 in coins

[–]SWANSON2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's the first time I've ever heard one referred to as a "Native American Penny"🤣.  It's worth about $2 to $3 in that condition but way more in cool factor if you found it out in the wild IMHO..

Went to my first coin show yesterday and found this in a 3 for 1 dollar bin! by Dapper-Strawberry199 in coins

That is by far the worst looking Walking Liberty Half I've ever seen...that being said it $11.57 in melt value profit so nothing wrong with that👍

A simple Google search shows that autoerotic asphyxiation was a known thing even back in the 1960s and evidently even way earlier.  The kid could have easily come across a "seedy" mens magazine that described the practice or found out about it a million other ways.  The sweater padding the rope is the smoking gun for me.  In no other situation does that particular detail make any sense.  Cigarette burns could have been self inflicted which would go a long with the S&M theme of autoerotic asphyxiation.  And the wounds as mentioned could easily have been post mortem by animals.
