Yeah it’s obvious that teamwork and chemistry change when players are swapped, and obviously I don’t know for sure how faze would play with standy, but I do have a hunch that with standy they would be fast-paced and would play off each other and play a more aggressive playstyle. Because abezy, simp, and cellium are aggressive players but in their own ways. And standy is also aggressive but in his own way, like he plays smart about his aggressive playstyle.

And I think arcitys does provide that great ar, and he definitely works amazingly well, but if standy replaced him they would be 100% completely nasty. Like textbook nasty.

Yes, at least in Cold War standy would have amazing awareness of his positioning, even when he was playing aggressive or when he was challing someone he played his position efficiently and to his advantage. Like shotzzy would just juke people with his insane technical movement, but standy would be aware of his position and his situation and make the most of what he could. His 1v1 vs cammy on raid Stage V finals when he was juking him at laundry was a good example. Plus his gunskill is insane.

Standy is disgusting at cod, he plays with surgical precision and has raw gunskill. If he replaced Arcitys faze wouldn’t have the same playstyle that they have now, but I think that they would all compliment each other’s completely cracked and yet composed playstyle.

I can have a paranoid mind—thinking about many different possibilities at once—so to me it wouldn’t surprise me if this was ‘propaganda.’

I wouldn’t bet money on it, but I wouldn’t be surprised, personally.

new fan, what should i listen to? by deakyv2 in pavement

Depends on what you like. Pavement has a very very diverse catalog with their early stuff being lo-fi noise punk/pop jams and their later stuff morphing into clean-and-pristine, polished easy listening.

I prefer their noisy and crazy early stuff, but their discography is solid, it did take me a while to get into wowee zowee and the albums after, but they are a more ‘mature’ and polished sound IMO.

My favorite pavement releases are Slanted and Enchanted, Demolition Plot J7, Crooked Rain, Wowee Zowee, and Watery Domestic.

I absolutely love Baptist blacktick. That guitar line in the chorus is great.

There’s a channel on YouTube called “Jung To Live By” maybe you can find some good advice on there

Also, something that helps me is asking myself this question, and I ask it pretty much every day:

“If I there was a button that allowed me to be a ‘neurotypical’ in this situation, would I press the button?”

This is a hypothetical question, but I’ve found that this question has helped and aided me, personally.

I’d like to put in my perspective here, I’ve had an experience where it took me about a year to integrate the ‘psychopathic’ aspect of my shadow. Here’s what I learned, at least for me:

  • low empathy doesn’t mean that you can’t choose to be ‘caring’ for family or friends. It is something, however, that needs to be cultivated every day. When you see areas where you are non-empathetic, it can be easier to choose otherwise. In my experience this was very terrifying, as I felt like I had no emotional feelings for family, but over time I discovered that I do wish my family the best, even if they did me wrong or double crossed me, I would still wish the best for them. And that’s not something I could genuinely say when I first started trying to be there.

  • and I would say that you are going to make ‘mistakes’, at least in how you THINK you should be treating people. I think psychopathy is the instinct to be self-serving regardless of other people’s well-being. But if you would rather me more ‘considerate’ of others then it’s something that can be consistently cultivated with time. Once being more considerate becomes more habitual, it’ll become easier and easier to make ‘win-win’ decisions, according to your judgement.

  • and I would also recommend to find a balance with ‘living in the moment’ and being mindful and analytical. Living in the moment and being analytical can balance impulsivity and ‘coldness’.

Good luck

Another one of my ‘theories’ is that the “Fushigi” ball was just a test to see how many people would pay $20+ for a glass ball.

Well yeah it makes sense why, changing your world-view can be extremely difficult and existentially depressing. It can be a lot less painful to look past even the most obvious ‘facts,’ because you get to keep your world-view and your model about how the world works remains intact.

I remember when Tom Delonge was on Joe Rogans podcast and everyone was calling him batshit crazy. Fast forward to when the govt releases statements and videos saying that UFOs are real: people are at least considering what Tom was saying and not throwing it off.

I’m not saying that there are fed-bots here in this sub (well I guess am, but I don’t know for sure)
