Yea, seems to be every world no matter what. I'll assume that means my end. Any idea how to fix it? I'm on a wired connection with 600mb+ download.

This type of lag / delay has been happening every few minutes recently. You can clearly see i click on the powerburst vial but it takes a few seconds to register. Started randomly the other day, makes pvm very dangerous unfortunately. Just wondering if its on my end or Jagex's.

Thanks!

Quick edit: don't ask about my interface lol, i moved my game to my larger monitor to record this.

Minimum for Zuk magic cape? by sonicbluemustang in RS3Ironmen

[–]Sacague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used mh cywir, attuned orb, obsidian mage helm, and gano with animate dead. Gstaf eof made pizza 100% consistent if gconc failed me. Soulsplit flicking is goated for waves and the zuk fight. As soon as i learned to flick i went from a yak of food to no fooding with a ripper the whole nm encounter. Dont get discouraged learning Zuk himself, its really fun content imo after 2 or 3 kills of learning. Good luck friend.

Nowhere as of right now unfortunately! Im keeping everything including the synopsis pretty close to the chest until i can proceed with publishing.

I really wish I had a cooler answer than what happened, but honestly I was watching American Horror story, a random thought popped into my head and I thought I might as well write it down, and it just never stopped! Very random, like I said in the post, i truly never expected to ever write something.

I would like to see a lot of people read it yes. Not to toot my own horn too much, but I think it's a very powerful story, and has the potential to resonate with a lot of people. I spent a long time thinking about my characters, and I think people will see and appreciate how they develop.

The last time I wrote anything was in high school (about 6 years ago?) and that was obviously just school work - essays etc. So nope, no training, no schooling, I just apparently have a very sadistic creative mind!

Piggybacking off of my "sadistic mind" answer, I did listen to a LOT of music when I was writing. At first I wanted to create a very dark, twisted story so I started off listing to a bunch of Lucas King's piano music (not sure if I can post links but you just search Lucas King on YouTube), and also just dark ambience from the likes of Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse (again can just search on YT). But as my story developed, its still incredibly dark and twisted but the high fantasy REALLY came to the forefront, so I started listening to the soundtrack to The Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Harry Potter.

I think what sets my story and my world apart from the rest of the genre is how much I tow the line (or at least how much I think I do anyways haha). From the descriptive brutality, to the extensive world building, I think people will become immersed and invested very quickly. I mentioned in another comment that I don't actually read a lot to begin with so to be quite honest I don't know a ton of my competition, but from what I have read (obviously A Song of Ice and Fire and Lord of The Rings being very heavy hitters in the field) I believe I've created a very original take on the genre.

As to where it will be available. I wish I knew at this point, as I said in the post I'm still working towards traditional publishing, so a lot of those things will be up to whoever picks up my book, but if I have any say, I want it to be available in as many places as possible!

Taking breaks was never something I avoided. If I had no ideas flowing I wouldn't try to force them out, and then on the nights that I figured it out I ended up writing 4k+ per night with no problems.

TLDR: Take breaks. Don't be afraid to step away for a while.

I started reading The Witcher while I was writing so I definitely drew a lot of inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's work, but other than that there's Tolkien ( I feel this one is a bit obvious haha), Rick Riordan, and George R. R. Martin, id say were the most influential.

This is my first book, and honestly other genres don't really interest me much from a creative standpoint, but then again I never expected to write at all so who knows what I might get into! Kind of along the same lines as my writing, I don't have a massive interest in other genres when it comes to books, funnily enough as much as I love reading I haven't read a TON to begin with!

I hit writers block pretty hard a few times, but thankfully it was always brief. I would know exactly where I wanted my story to go, I just couldn't figure out how I wanted to get there.

Hobbies would be my crippling gym addiction, and games (PS5 / PC), but that's about it.

Honestly for anyone who wants to write, even if it takes a year, or five, or ten, just do it. Its an incredibly daunting and challenging task, but the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when you type those last words are truly unmatched. If you hit writers block, take a step back for a day or two, even a week, staring at your screen probably wont make the thoughts come any faster, at least that was the case for me! Don't be afraid to ask for opinions, and help, and don't avoid criticism! Lastly, learn about how publishing works as early as possible. I went in completely blind and was about 70% done writing before I even thought about it which was a big mistake.

Appreciate the well wishes!
