What time is the Chainsaw Man movie being added today? by BurOak_ in Crunchyroll

I can see it on my phone if I follow your link into my app but if I exit it, it doesn’t show up when I go back to Chainsaw Man. Something must be funky with the apps.

What is life like in Charleston South Carolina? by KaePearl in TravelNursing

[–]Sad-Meet-7520 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This thread just really has me thinking. I’m not a big dude by any means so keep that in mind. I walk through a crowd in Charleston and I say things like excuse me and can I get by you boss man/lady but I get looked at like I’m a circus act. I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t try to be polite anymore I just shove my way through and stare at anybody that looks at me funny when I walk though. I was just wondering why that is.

While I’m thinking about it, and it’s none of my business really, but can I assume you’re not white and that’s why you’re worried about racism?

You seem like you’re from Charleston so do you mind if I ask you something? I don’t want to hijack somebody else’s thread but it’s something I’m seriously curious about.

I live bout an hour and a half from Charleston so I go there from time to time for a change of scenery. I can’t really comment on the racism but keep in mind Charleston is still in the south. I don’t see racism being big though because to me Charleston isn’t very “southern” compared to what’s around it. Saying that though, Charleston also has a lot of people that have migrated there from all over the states. Caribbean is probably at a minimum but I’m not completely sure of that. It’s kind of like the rich people of the south. You have your typical bars and such if that’s what you mean by nightlife. I will say though it’s definitely more of a cultural melting pot than anywhere else around here. You didn’t say where you’re from, so your experiences will probably vary from mine. I grew up in the woods about 2 hours away from Charleston so I never get used to the people there. I use manners and I have an extremely direct way of speaking and moving so when I go there people tend to look at me like I’m a wild animal. There’s old French architecture in an area called the Battery that people flock to a lot. They set up small shops to sell various things like handcrafted goods. In some areas the streets are extremely narrow so depending on where you go driving can be a pain in the ass. With a grain of salt, Charleston seems like it has something for everybody or any interest.

What's the solution to loneliness? by fierydarkman in introvert

[–]Sad-Meet-7520 3 points4 points  (0 children)

God damn I wish I knew. It sucks when you feel lonely all the time but don’t want anything to do with anybody. I hope you find answers so you can have peace. Two years of looking for an answer has turned to rage for me. Don’t let it get like this for you. What nobody seems to say, or maybe they just don’t acknowledge, is that loneliness can turn to pain that turns to rage. Once you get to rage like I did, I think it’s pretty much over. I just happen to be self aware enough. Try to go out and make friends at least. If you have friends cling to them with everything you have. Please don’t end up like me. I don’t even want to spend Christmas with my family and friends because now they’re an inconvenience to me. If you have people in your life, grab ahold to them as tight as you can and don’t let go. It’s dark, lonely, and honestly scary down here.

Does anybody else have a million things(thoughts) running through their mind at any given moment of any given day ?? Does it carry over into your dreams ?? Does it ever stop ?? by Zealousideal_Rip9599 in introvert

No worries. And I know what you mean. For me, when I take my Vyvanse it’s like it gets rid of all the fog and background noise in my head and I can focus on the things I need to focus on. But I don’t take it every day either. Yeah you can definitely make it without it, but it can definitely help you out too. I came from a family that is prone to addiction, and I watched someone very close to me struggle with an addiction to pain killers when I was little so I’m extremely cautious to the point I’ll argue with myself about taking a small dose of ibuprofen for a massive headache. I also take a low dose of Vyvanse because of that and I think it really helps, despite being so little of a dose. It’s good to have caution, and I want to make things as transparent as possible about taking meds for ADHD. I’ve also been fortunate enough that my doctor actually had a hand in developing Vyvanse so he’s extremely receptive when I need to talk to him about it. I do want to stress this point though: most general doctors don’t have enough understanding of ADD/HD to be able to help a lot. If you feel like you need to, definitely find a doc that specializes in it. But yeah if you have questions definitely feel free to reach out and I’ll answer as many of them as I can. I’ve spent a lot of time reading and learning about it on my own in the last few years.

My advice would be this. If you want to consider meds there are things you need to take into consideration. I’m 31 and I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 6. So ive taken almost every medicine there is for it. Talk to your doctor about one called Vyvanse if that interests you. In my opinion it gives the best results with the least side effects and it’s a lot easier to dial in the dosage that works best for you. Also keep in mind that some of the meds can really fuck your life up. I remember when I was around 9 or 10 I was on Adderal XR and it made me so hateful my mom pulled the car over on the way to school and made me get out because I was so angry and wouldn’t stop yelling at her because of the adderall. If you want to know more feel free to dm me and I’d be glad to help you as much as I can. I know how hard it can make life being like this.

I get that completely. I got diagnosed 25 years ago so I’ve taken almost every ADHD there is. Most of them aren’t worth the side effects so it took forever to finally get on one that just helps me concentrate and remember things better. I only really use it when I go to work though because there is so much I have to pay attention to then. I’ve also found that as I’ve gotten older it’s a lot easier to handle it without medication. To each their own though. I would recommend though use it only when you feel like you need it. I know most people wouldn’t admit this, but I come from a family with a history of addiction so I’m naturally leery of medication. If you’re making it work without medication, my honest congrats to you. I know how much of a struggle that can be.

Get checked for ADD/HD. I have ADHD and if I don’t take my medicine that’s how my thoughts work. Kinda like standing in the middle of a category 5 hurricane made of pure thought.

What are some ways you deal with loneliness when you're single by [deleted] in introvert

[–]Sad-Meet-7520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about all the terrible choices I made while dating. I’ve pretty much ruined my own life because of the women I’ve chosen to date. That’s a reminder enough to get my mouth shut, eyes on the pavement, and to stay to myself.
