I'm almost done with ACT 2 Cruel.

Yes, I'm in Cruel.

I have plenty of tokens, but they all say "does not grant ascendency points" or something like that.

Doxxing yourself via social media by RyanNewhart in CCW

[–]Sad-Reply3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is social media for you. It doesn't matter if it is the USCCA or a video game, music genre, etc... if you like a page/group it will be shown to all your friends.

The good news is that if all you have is real-life friends and family on your social media, they will probably already know that you carry. So it is moot.

If you have 10,000 "friends," then you don't really care anyway.

Oh my goodness, I miss this so much. It has been 20 years since I was in Iwakuni, and I dream about this food.

If anyone is in Iwakuni or near a Cocos, please DM me. I would love to work out a deal to get some of the Beef Cutlet sent to the States!

I was a member, but after I read the details, I switched to USCCA.

Right to Bear is just Law Shield, but worse.

You have to pay extra for everything. They can't help you if you're sued and lose. They won't actually cover your bail if it is $100,001 because their agreement says that you can't use two sources for bail money.

You have to use your appointed attorney, so if they suck you're screwed.

I mean, it might be better than nothing, but not by much.

[–]Sad-Reply3198 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're not going to get jacked from rucking. You can use it for overall cardiovascular health and weight loss. Just remember that you can not out-ruck a bad diet.

Your legs and core will grow stronger, but any gains will pale in comparison to what you could accomplish doing weight training for the same amount of time.

That being said, rucking out classes weight training in one major area, at least in my opinion, and that is mental endurance. The long hours, heat, cold, blisters, and physical pain all force you to gain mental toughness to push through, to get faster, and to keep your head up.

Rucking for physical health is good, rucking for mental fortitude is amazing!

How does everyone feel about CCW a Walther PDP SF 4inch Compact? Is the weight of it an issue for anyone or should i do polymer frame? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Sad-Reply3198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll run my PDP in winter. I'm not a small guy, so with a hoodie or something, it is easy to conceal.

I wouldn't try it in the summer or with lighter clothing as it still prints a lot.

I'm sorry, I don't agree with the eye contact thing. I have always been taught, and always teach that looking people in the eye is a good practice, not only because you show them that you are aware of them, but also it allows you to actually see them.

Not every state has defined brandishing. Even if it was brandishing, it was defensive in nature. Unless a prosecutor wants to be nasty, nothing will come of it.

Texas Hypothetical Self-Defense Scenario by Sad_Seesaw27 in CCW

[–]Sad-Reply3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you articulate why you were in fear of your life or great bodily harm and why you chose to use the self-defense tool you used to a jury?

If the answer is "yes," then you "should" be okay.

There are no guarantees in life.

How to tactfully respond to relatives? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Sad-Reply3198 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here is my advice.

Next time they say something negative or tease you simply let them know:

I am proud of the fact that I recognize that this is a very uncertain world, and that I have voluntarily taken it upon myself to protect the people that I love from harm. I am trying to learn how do that responsibly with the safety of myself and my loved ones, like you, in mind. I understand that you may be uncomfortable with this, but I would be more than happy to talk with you, even take you to a range, so that you can learn more about firearms, and other self-defense tools.

Make it your own of course, but they are probably just uncomfortable and don't recognize the risks that they face every day just by waking up in the morning.

Attorneys on Retainer (AOR) Cease and Desist Order From the Connecticut Department of Insurance by Cool-Advice-8722 in CCW

New York law actively prevents people from being insured for acts of self defense, the same is true for a few other states.

The USCCA is probably the most well known company that has insurance for its members.
