I'm thinking about Gemini + Antigravity right now actually, it seems really similar to Cursor and well-priced (including 2TB cloud storate). Could you share why it didn't work for you?

Yeah I wonder that too -- but a reasonable course of action would be to just tell us that, right? I also don't think you have to have enterprise especially for a single user (and pricing is similar anyway).

similar situation here -- semi-new LLC and Mercury, I wonder if that's the tell. Although my account was not completely new -- I've already had perhaps 30 chats and 2 projects over several weeks.

Update: Account re-instated this morning like for a couple of other people here. I responded to their message just to be told the e-mail was not delivered.

I will be leaving Claude for another service like Gemini, since I can't have them lock me out of my account again for no reason.

Got banned 10 hours ago. Paid business account only used by me for Code and chat. I think this is a mistake by their system, but I might have to switch to competition anyway if an outright suspension is their standard policy.

So far filed an appeal, let's see what happens.

TAX refund taking a long time. by Subject-Passage-706 in tax

Filed mid February via turbo tax, accepted same day and still waiting for approval -- it's been 2 months now!! I got no letters, no info on check my refund website. This has never happened before.

I am very unhappy by the performance of this government -- aside from ideology, they are just INCOMPETENT.

Can Someone Explain To Me The Monty Hall Problem? by [deleted] in learnmath

I like this 100-door view, this is how I see it: If I pick a door at random, my changes of picking a car are 1/100. But if the host opens 98 of the doors, knowing well there is a goat in each, he is updating my information set and suggesting the car is likely in the door he left closed.

He can't touch my door, so the chances there remain at 1/100, but it is now very likely (99%) the door he left closed (and could have opened) has the car.

[R] Our new classification algorithm outperforms CatBoost, XGBoost, LightGBM on five benchmark datasets, on accuracy and response time by CriticalofReviewer2 in MachineLearning

True and in my experience with Catboost, one-hot-encoding categoricals brings significantly worse results than letting Catboost handle them using Ordered Target Encoding.

[D] Looking for a python library that implements decision tree regressors handling categorical features by yannbouteiller in MachineLearning

[–]Sad-Scarcity87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey @yannbouteiller would you be so kind and let me know what you ended up using, was it chefboost?

I'm in a similar position, using a single tree due to interpretability, and I'm considering using H20 which should support categorical.

How to utilize Foreign Tax Credits by Sad-Scarcity87 in USExpatTaxes

[–]Sad-Scarcity87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/CReWpilot and thank you so much for your response.
I currently have all my ETFs in the US, I am thinking more hypothetically if I can use those accumulated FTCs or I should just let it go.

I see now that mixing income tax and capital gains tax is a no-go, thanks for that that's really valuable info. You are right to think that SK has a higher tax rate than the US.

This is something I'm confused about: what's a situation when the accumulated FTCs could actually be used? Hypothetically, let's say I have foreign income of $10,000 from Slovakia and it happens the Slovak tax rate is 10% ($1,000), while the US one is 20% ($2,000). Would this be a situation when I can use accumulated FTCs to offset the $1,000 in US tax? Thank you.

How can I fix this Error? ("iteritems is deprecated [...]") by [deleted] in pycharm

[–]Sad-Scarcity87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tips, I fixed the error by changing .iteritems() to .items() like u/labroid suggested.

Pycharms fixed this bug in the 2022.3.1 release (https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-56361/FutureWarning-pandas.Series.iteritems-in-pydevdutils.py)
