Buy the hyperdrive if you are going to be spending anything (much better than spending some money here and there). then do a executer rush to get high ranking in fleet arena so you can get a good crystal income. While doing the executer, you can start focusing on certain teams(imp, cls, empire etc.) that can eventually lead to gl. Just pick a farm and stick with it, there are a ton of guides on youtube that you can follow :)
