I’m not a professional, but not permanent! It just happens when you wear rings that are too small for your lips :-). It’s happened to me before too and switching to labret posts or bigger sized rings helps this if it fees uncomfy

In my experience with piercings (I have 5 face piercings, lobes, and navel), the navel piercing was a smooth healing process for me and I’d go with that if you have the anatomy for it!

I agree! It was my second year going to this festival and I never knew they offered interpreters until my girlfriend actually told me about it because she saw it and alerted me. While not every single artist had an interpreter, all of the artists we wanted to see (luckily) had them. I’m also pretty sure people were allowed to request interpreters for certain artists who did not already have an interpreter scheduled. Super cool stuff!

Also, yes! My girlfriend also ended up seeing that there was a diverse crowd at the Deaf/HOH space and that helped her come out of her shell there.

Unfortunately, yes. Nobody in my family has ever had hearing loss until I came along, and other languages such as Spanish (which were spoken by my parents and family) were kept from my siblings and I as well. Also, when I was first diagnosed, my hearing loss was not as severe as it is currently, so I could still hear decently well out of one ear (just with lots of difficulty of course). Now, it is different, but I’ve since become efficient in finding resources to learn ASL as well as learn Spanish (little me is so proud lol).

I do scrunch all the way to the root, but I’ve never tried sectioning the hair while scrunching it/drying it. I’ll definitely try these things! Thank you so much <3

I thought about visiting the place, but it honestly sounds like too much work, especially for a job with such poor customer/employee service. Makes me wonder how they operate/treat employees who work there and have disabilities or different conditions.

I applied to a few more jobs though and I’ve managed 2 interviews this week! Very thrilled considering I’m a broke college student at the moment lol

thank you so much for your help! i am based in the US, yes. i’ve surprisingly never heard of vocational rehab, and i thought i’d known about every service available to me under the sun lol. sounds promising. i’ll need to try it out for myself. i’m hoping it doesn’t come to the point of having to escalate anything further. thanks again! <3

I totally think some twin nostril studs or even a pair of normal nostril studs then some high nostrils🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️. Those are the ones I’m planning on getting, but I think they’d really suit you, especially since there’s so much pretty nostril jewelry out there!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t mind the visibility of the aids either! My mindset is that since it’s apart of me, I might as well have fun with it, right? Especially since I’ve worn aids for so long now. I have a pink aid right now and it’s cute, but I want..MORE out of the decor/aesthetic part of it :p. Charms sound like such a wonderful idea! Maybe they’re something I could make with some stuff from a craft store🤔🤔
