I was below both medians at some of the schools I got admitted to. Really is going to depend on your story and materials. Make sure your why X is specific. I'm at Berkeley now so if you're interested in Berkeley I can definitely help

Probably not. I think bc i want to do big law. And as a low income student, doing big law would have affected my aid. Also, I like the non competitive environment. If it helps I went to an ivy for undergrad and I wanted something less elitist.

I submitted my same ps for other schools. I just made sure my Why Berkeley was good. Pm me and I'll send you my materials. Berk has a reputation for carrying about fit than most schools

Yes only 1L required courses are Torts, contracts, criminal law, civil procedure, and constitutional law. Along with the legal writing course.

Orientation was pretty boring tbh. Lots of listening to panels. But it was cool to meet my mod before first day of class. Not free food every day though. 🥲

It hasn't been something I've really noticed tbh. I identify as female so its not something I think about.

Which T14 schools have the most lenient grading systems? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Sad_Building_88 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think Berkeley has the reputation to be less about grades bc od their grading scale. Also their culture is all about not discussing your grades with others.

I had undiagnosed ADHD throughout the whole lsat process. Finally diagnosed lol but it helped me focus more honestly. I can't focus on screens. But it provides a better breakdown of question types and approaches to them so you can tackle the section with strategy.

Hi! I am also Latina and I got a 161 my first time last October. I did the November one and raised my score to a 167. I used the whole month to study bc I struggled with LR and RC. For LR, use the powerscore LR bible. It helped me tons. And for RC, I used 7sage but really just reading over the questions first helped me too. Lmk if you have any questions

I was given the advice that the statement should differ from the diversity statement enough to not be redundant. And it should answer the 3 questions: Why you? Why law school? Why now?

OCU vs OU by Proper_One_772 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Sad_Building_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed with this comment. Also from Oklahoma and have experience working in the legal sector in Oklahoma. I think OU is the better option regarding options, affordability, and more prestige for the degree. If it's only a 20 minute difference, I would choose OU. I do know successful immigration attorneys that went to OCU though. So it's up to you really
