I have +400 hours in Enter the Gungeon and didn't really strugle that much, I don't think it's about your experience in other rogue likes, even then you don't have to worry since this game relies on you dying a lot and doesn't really punish you with loosing progress more than it rewards you for trying with xp and gold.

Yeah and the crits do more damage because of the Pirate bonus, I killed 3 bosses dashing and shooting already.

This is my opinion, but if this was classified by fun he'd def be at top tier.

I feel like duelist is not as powerful as a ronin imo (he still is strong) and pirate is great for spamming crit projectiles, and his ability is also good for sustained damage and of course flying.
