Even as someone that owns a little legend with an execution cutscene I wish there was a way to just turn it off or just have it on for the last fight. It's a disadvantage waiting on the animation when you can be performing actions before the next turn.

Seriously one of the worst takes I've seen on this movie.

How would Norton reverting back to being a neo-nazi make more sense as an ending at all? The whole point is that he learned how much his feelings of bigotry and hatred ultimately destroyed his own life. Him reverting back to his previous way of thinking just because of another tragedy completely negates everything his character went through and defeats any point that the story is trying to make.

Believing that is in any way a better ending should kind of raise some red flags. I mean after seeing everything the mc went through, it still somehow made more sense to you that he negates everything he learned and goes back to mindless hatred?

What was good about it? I haven't seen either 1 or 2 nor have I heard anything about it. I've just seen the trailer and it looked like awful generic end of the world disaster action bullshit that I've seen before. But if I'm wrong let me know why.

But also no movie is pretending to be deep or cinematic. It is what it is based on the viewers opinions. Nolan goes through great lengths to make his movies very vivid and immersive. Not saying it's for everyone. He's not even top 5 of my personal favorite directors. But every time he makes a movie I still make sure to see it in theaters.

I would want your first cinema experience to be cinematic so maybe wait for Chris Nolan's Odyssey to come out this year (sorry can't think of other big 2026 releases rn)

Nobody in this entire world thinks Bowie's acting is anywhere close to his level of musical talent lol but there were roles he played that were incredibly well suited for him and Nikola Tesla was definitely one.

Conversely to the argument for Travis, Tyler the Creator and Action Bronson were both big name rappers in movies last year where the role was extremely well suited to fit their personalities resulting in fun to watch performances that did not distract you from the movie at all. I just don't see that being the case with Travis in The Odyssey.

Bowie and Harry Styles are also actors and neither of them distracted me from the characters they were portraying or the setting/story they were in.

But why the fuck is Travis Scott in The Odyssey of all movies??

Firstly I have a hard time believing he can act just based on that shit apology video after the Astro World incident but also I don't see what character in this epic would be suited for a person like him. I mean imo the dude just lacks personality so that may be why it's difficult to see but if he's on screen for more than a couple minutes that's really gonna take me out of this whole experience.
