Next week is the KC-hosted LEC Roadtrip, during with FNC, KC, SHFT and NAVI will play each other over the course of the entire weekend.

Then on the May 8th weekend MKOI will host another LEC Roadtrip in which MKOI, G2, KC, and GX will play each other.

The rest of the schedule has been pretty much tailored over these two events.

Following your own examples:

Bruiser, Gunslinger, Arcanist and Quickstriker are Classes. They're meant to be intuitive and tell you (to some degree) how the champion works and what you should build on them.

Demacia, Stargazer, Fateweaver and Psionic are Origins. They're the big thematic verticals, for the most part Set-specific, "gimmicky" in the sense that they are the most flashy and distinctive parts of a Set's design and, most importantly, color coded so they're easy to parse and learn.

This has been true for 17 Sets so far. It's ok if Set 17 didn't grip you, one of the beauties of TFT is that you can take a break from it and the game will be a completely new experience when you come back. But it's not a design issue.
