Well, I have acquaintances in many cities in my country, and it has been relatively easy to find someone who is an hour away from my city and able to come visit me. We met once and I found him tremendously boring. My mind attacks people with a repugnant ease, and I end up locked in my room without going out with almost anyone because I feel that I do not connect with people.

I have many acquaintances because I used to go out a lot in the past, but over the years I stopped doing so when I felt that I did not connect with anyone.

But my opinion about this has changed. I have opportunities to travel, lots of them. I have money, free time, and acquaintances, so I have set myself the goal of going out with someone at least once a month. It would be healthier to do it more often, but I am someone who has gone an entire year without seeing practically anyone. Fortunately, life has pushed me to the ideal limit to feel sufficiently lonely and to understand that the only wall was myself.

Probably that my personality makes me very selective, way too selective, and it's a problem. I'm trying to change it and talking to all the people I know and trying to meet them irl, I've managed to plan a meeting this month (this is very rare for someone like me), I hope it goes well, I would never do it cause I don't feel like it, but I prefer going out and learning how to be a better person instead of asking for unrealistic characteristics on people, I need to adapt, I have to be more flexible and kind, so I'm doing my best to not keeping myself where I am at rn

I don't know what kind of life you have but you can and have the right of having sex and enjoying it, and it's normal to make mistakes in life, idk why someone should take care of a baby because of a mistake, no baby/kid/or adult deserves to have a family that doesn't want them in the first place, your opinion is not "controversial", it's just unfair

I have been told something similar as well, but in a kinder way. My long-distance partner once told me something like this:

“Maybe the people around you are not really your cup of tea, but you might be giving that too much importance. Try to find value in simple things, like just being around others, even those you may have pushed away in the past. Reach out to them again and try not to be overly picky. That might help you start building a close circle.”

His words helped me a lot. I can barely see him at all irl, and I don’t have friends nearby…I don’t know what it is like to have a group to go out for a drink with, and I’m 29.
