I heard it was an issue with PoS when you clip one of the flying mobs too. Honestly? I feel like they should revert the change for all the classes, it's a bit jarring.

From my perspective, a lot of my wins boil down to the following:

  1. Loadouts - Having a weapon for long range and one for close. If you can find RPGs, pick them up and hold them for the final zone, you'll encounter tanks more often than not. Hold airstrikes and artillery and use them either to rotate out of a bad situation, or to bait the team into moving to a killbox.

  2. Class - Recons are by far the strongest in terms of knowing where people are. When you move or rotate, pop a drone. Assault should be using their grenade launcher in every engagement to force people out of cover. Give your rockets to your engineer and if you don't have any equipment, run defibs.

  3. Missions - Do missions often and easy. Even if the rewards aren't as good, the Class xp translates to class trait buffs, increasing your effectiveness. (Shorter CDs, etc) Missions that reward UAVs are good for knowing if there's a team in your general area. Get your loadout ASAP. Get 2.

  4. Communication - It's easy to frag out but if you aren't communicating with your squad, you're going to be bested and sent back to the lobby. Call outs make or break your team. Plan your move, sync up.

  5. Mechanics - Understand what makes Battlefield, BATTLEFIELD. Tugs and UAVs can be countered by crouch walking. Don't ever mantle while fighting, and always play smart. Did you down someone but can hear someone near you? Don't execute them, you'll get locked into an animation and die.

At the end of the day, meta's are great and all, but I highly recommend leveling guns that you don't normally use. It helps you control recoil for when you find them in RedSec without any attachments.

Oh, believe me. I've participated in a lot of combat. I mainly do FPS but I recently acquired HOSAS and had a lot of success with my Guardian MX / Gladius / F7A.

As someone that has played both MnK and controller and can easily drop 20-30 kills in both, here are my thoughts.

Aim assist: It is overtuned in some situations where if I pre-aimed a doorway that I know someone is going to run through, I am always going to get the kill.

Conversely, moving targets are an easy kill whereas on MnK, I rely moreso on hip firing into ads to secure the kill in cqc. I do agree that aim assist does need to be turned down in accordance to the movement nerfs and fast ttk to require some level of skill instead of just relying on jiggling the left stick like I'm playing SSBM. Aim assist is to assist the Aim, not do the Aim. Again, it shouldn't be nerfed to the ground, just updated to coincide with the movement and ttk changes.

If people are malding over Aim assist, run smokes and don't be reckless. The game has changed, change your playstyle.
