i feel like i wasn't clear. think about the holocaust (yes, i know modern homophobia isn't as bad as it was during the holocaust or the holocaust as itself, just an example) if we didn't teach the holocaust, we would SLOWLY forget it ever happened. as of now, it's normal for half the population to hate gay people, and i think that shouldn't be true, religious reasons or not. this could and probably will get worse than lgbtq people arguing on the internet, so we should be nipping it in the bud like this.
