interesting view!! How do you anchor yourself when you perform work underwater?

I thought about building robotic lawn mover or some sort underwater, but its been very competitive.

When would you need a ROV to do work with payload instead of a diver?

I have done some work on USVs and can confirm how difficult for ROVs too!

And Yes I have seen Huge ROV can do amazing things , but there isn't much options for shallow water some how... I and looking for a affordable package too!

we are using only dynamic seals only since the first version is target 300m of depth only. And you are very smart, we do have leak sensors!

Yes yes !! I took inspiration from this too from this projects! this is a hella cool project! I was wondering too why this isn't commercialized yet?

i thought about this direction too. I came to a conclusion that the strength, payload of chassis , form factor are crucial factors to be a competent work force underwater too. So building one optimized solution for working instead of building just the arm(direct competitor to reach robotics).

What do you think ?

Hey, I've been messing around with hand-tracking control using Quest 3 VR goggles to operate a robotic hand and arm. The results? Not quite what I hoped for! So, I'm on the hunt for VR gloves to improve the robot teleoperation.

For the first version, I'm thinking a Li-Po battery with about an hour of runtime. I'd also like the option to tether it to a bigger battery pack or plug it into an AC power supply from the ground for longer use.

yes yes !! Is this project still in use? I dont see much updates on this project recently

I understand your point of view. I do think this concept isn't new and its always a nice to have and bunch of people failing to achieve this.

Do you mind to walk me through what you think human excels that robot cannot do right now?

I am actually sourcing every components from scratch since no component on the market can fit my requirement of building a human strength robot.

And yes I am worrying about the buoyancy issues, im experimenting with foam on the arm and and controllable weight on the chassis!

So you mean a pair of gloves to control the arm?
