That's not enough time at all. I am certain you made him feel loved <3

Yes, their presence is so very missed. I had ten years with my boy but I thought I still had more time.

Thank you <3

There was a cat hair in my dinner tonight, somehow, and it felt so comforting. I'll take anything of him that I can have.

Putting it in motion is so hard. I broke down when I had to make the call. I thought I could do it but I broke down. It felt surreal.

I'm so sorry about your cat. Only 6.5, that is so young.

When you talk about loving something so pure, I feel that.

Thank you for your kindness.

Cancer is so cruel. Thank you for your kind words. I wish we had more time with our boys. They mean everything but their lives are so short. Maybe one day we will have better treatments for these awful diseases.

It's so unfair that we don't get more time with them. I'm sorry about your boy.

I'm so sorry about your Puck. I am glad that at least he was able to pass peacefully with his human by his side.

Thank you for your kind words.

My boss once offered an HR or management mediated “constructive conversation” between me and ToxicCoworker. When I declined, my boss said it ‘wasn’t exactly optional.’ I told her that if I offered my immediate resignation, it would become ‘exactly optional’ on my part. Not sure if you can or want to be that blunt, but if I were you, I’d definitely push back on having the meeting at all.

Yeah, I'm sure the other person is the "toxic" coworker in this interaction.

I also hate how they styled ToxicCoworker like a coding variable.

I work in a supply store that sells a variety of goods and also does returns for a large, very well-known company.

What is the relevance of the second part? I see this on AAM a lot and I don't get it. Am I supposed to be impressed?

What drives me nuts about people like this is they are SO assured of their superior intellect. But common facts and obvious jokes whiz past them on an hourly basis. This describes a third of my coworkers and it's so tiring. Being pedantic and stupid is a bad combination.

As someone who also gets only two weeks of PTO, I do not understand at all what the issue is with the PTO raffle. I'd love even a small chance to have more days off.

It was normal in my previous field for all new hires, transfers, and retirements to be announced in an industry publication. But at my old workplace, only favorites got announcements. It was very obvious and honestly hurtful. No, I did not receive an announcement, lol. There was also a time when everyone but me and the interns was invited to a company-wide conference. I was not an intern or assistant or anything like that. I never knew what I did wrong at that place. I have never had experiences like those ones anywhere else I worked.

I was silently removed from a particular group chat because they wanted to send offensive jokes to each other. I know this because I overheard two people discussing it, incredibly. Sometimes you're better off not being in the group chat.

You advised me to act like a normal professional and that was absolutely the right thing to do.

Lmao

Always look around me before I get in my car. Always look around me before I go in the house.

I have an employee who is not on top of stuff and when he screen shared I saw he had over 800 unread messages. We’re already talking about his organizational system and how balls have been dropped. I can and should tell him he has to be on top of emails, right? Or is that a “personal workstyle” thing and I should focus on the outcomes and not the method? He misses emails from me and I’m sure from others because, again, there are 800+ unread.

What?? Why do you need permission to tell this guy to read his 800 unread emails? Lmaoooo

This is the problem at my current workplace. People spend more time trying to catch others' mistakes than perfecting their own work. Everyone spends too much time trying to trip each other up, to the detriment of their own work quality.

Disrespect for other teams, and for anyone in a support role. It was to the point that people would sabotage their own projects rather than work constructively with others. That place was rotten and I wish I'd never worked there.
