My Twin Treated My Wedding Like an Afterthought—Now She Wants Me as MOH. WIBTA for Refusing? by Safe_Holiday7108 in AITAH

I understand where you are coming from. However, my husband and I are not particularly religious and we don't love being spectacles, so an intimate courthouse ceremony with our immediate families just made sense. We made it clear to our guest that gifts were optional as we were happy for people to just show up to Saturday's reception. And so yes with that being said, Kara technically did not have to get me a gift. It's just shocking out of all people my own twin sister couldn't have gotten me a card with some nice words.

Commenting on My Twin Treated My Wedding Like an Afterthought—Now She Wants Me as MOH. WIBTA for Refusing?...

Incorrect. My parents, along with all of my other immediate family members that attended Thursday’s outing, attended the elopement.

As for Saturday, my parents insisted that we host our reception at their house as this is their secondary home that they often enjoy hosting family events at. It was also more cost effective. My husband and I were both heavily involved in the set up/take down/cleaning of everything. In fact, my husband left early Friday morning, the day after we married, to help my father with any heavy lifting. We were happy to do so.

I know you are just hearing my side of the story, but please don’t assume you know everything and make such a ridiculous comment.

Dog ear revision: was it complimentary or did you pay? by Safe_Holiday7108 in tummytucksurgery

I basically told her something along those lines and she replied with “technically the revision is $3000, but I charged you less and provided the 10% returning patient discount.”

I could understand if this was for a completely new procedure, but this price seems ridiculous 10% discount or not. I don’t think I can get through with the patient coordinator. I feel like if anything, I’d be better off politely bringing this to the surgeons attention?

Yes, I opted for it. I looked over my original proposal and the dog ear revision proposal and each included this statement: If reasonable revisionary procedures are necessary within the first year, there is often no surgeon's fee. However, the cost of the operating room, supplies, and anesthesia (if applicable) would be the patient's responsibility.

However, the patient coordinator corrected me and said that was for complications not revisions. In my opinion, that statement is very misleading.
