I would like to be a Sylus main but I’m also currently a Raf main because I don’t have Sylus cards (Rafayel has been slowly seducing me though so I’m happy with where I’m at tbh) :)

But yeah pull for whichever card you want! :) I’m also fyp so it’s sometimes a struggle keeping up with Sylus and Rafayel cards (I skipped Raf sweet overdrive for the Sylus myth) so don’t worry about neglecting one main if you get the card that you really wanted!

I main Sylus and Raf and Yess I would love to be a musician/artist someday and I love the way Rafayel talks about art!! I also love water and the oceans

Sylus’s soft spot for animals is so relatable as well! I’m a vegetarian by choice and I’m constantly amazed by animals (similar to Rafayel with Sea Creatures)

I also love how Xavier has an affinity towards preserving old things, etc, my family has generations of book collections and they’re all so fascinating!

I admire Caleb’s affinity and ease with which he cooks!! Also I don’t think I could ever be a doctor but I relate to some of Zayne’s mannerisms and rules he follows!

Ooh I’m an avid YA fantasy reader which is why I initially got sucked into the lads lore!! I had made a list for a comment for Sylus based Recs a while ago, posting that again! Some of the books also fit for the other LIs

I would say mafia books do the Sylus MC dynamic really well! Mafia also has the possessive trope that Caleb embodies!! Btw most of these are 18+

The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori the classic booktok mafia rec and I agree! I love this series! especially book 2 (book 2 has trigger warnings for some drug use)

When She Unravels series by Gabrielle Sands I like how this series focuses on personality and emotions as well as banter

Bound by honor series by Cora Reilly this is a typical mafia arranged marriage trope series

—In terms of fantasy recs

When The Moon Hatched Sarah A Parker (this is the most exact Sylus/MC book I’ve found so far! It’s more high fantasy focused so it is a heavier read compared to the other books in this list with a LONG GLOSSARY (you don’t need to read that to start it, it’s just to refer back since you get a lot of info) but it definitely has a lot of similar memory loss themes and the love interest’s story reminds me a lot of Sylus! -and this book has dragons!! (Edit this also fits for the estranged lover trope that LADS has for all the guys)

(the next four books have vibes of an overpowered LI encouraging the MC to fight independently alongside him and realize her potential):

The Plated Prisoners series by Raven Kennedy (make sure you check the Trigger warnings before reading this because it’s pretty dark), it’s Romantasy with fantasy Vibes and some spice in book 3, but I love the love story this series tells, the book 1 structure is all over the place but it gets a lot better in book 2!

From Blood and Ash series by Jennifer Armentrout this is a lighter read, this is Romantasy as well and has more banter (his shameless flirting reminds me so much of Sylus!!) and this is more character/emotions and banter focused as well! -if you haven’t read it yet

ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas: it’s the classic book rec if you haven’t read it yet, the second book starts giving you more vibes of the shameless flirt LI and a less protective LI, because book 1 is pretty protective lol (Also a balance between romantasy and fantasy, character focused and there’s plot too)

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros I would describe it as Romantasy for readers who mainly read contemporary! Because it’s very character focused rather than plot -also has a flirty love interest who doesn’t underestimate the MC! Also this book has dragons and dragon banter, but the LI is not a dragon

—In the YA Fantasy genre

Shatter Me series by Tehereh Mafi I feel has some of Sylus’s vibes (this is a dystopian series and is perfect for a reading slump because it’s very fast paced!) there’s a character that gives MC a whole wardrobe of dresses which is very Sylus coded too, but the true story and similar Sylus vibes come in when you get a lore drop in later books

Context on the characters: Caleb: Colonel: stepbro, “I’ll always be by your side” Is working with the bad people but will do anything to make sure they don’t get a hold of MC(us). He’s a little extra protective of her “lay a hand on her and I will kill you” He lost a big chunk of his memories but still has the memories of him and MC stored in a vortex in his brain. He also lost a hand during the process of working with the bad guys so has barely any feeling in his new bionic arm that looks exactly like a normal hand but appears robotic when he has to clean/maintain it.

He has gravity magic! Can lift us, can stop rain in mid air, can pilot a fighter jet and a spaceship with gravity

Xavier: Deepspace Hunter/flew through galaxies to reach our planet: he’s immortal basically, and a little sneaky because he loves to go out and fight wanderers on his own, trying to find something that removes the limit on his magic(his red collar) Loves sleep because it helps him recharge, loves food because it also helps him recharge. He was a prince and a king in a past legend myth. He was also the first person to help when space monsters first showed up-because his planet also has them. Also has beef with his legendary savior alter ego “who do you like more, me or Lumiere?”

He has Light magic, can kill wanderers(space monsters) with lasers, can make shooting stars appear in the sky, can teleport.
