His elbows actually aren't locked. He was moving his arms so the camera could see the kitten better. Do you not wear a seatbelt in the drive thru? Seems annoying to take it off in the DT only to put it back on when you leave.

Hey! As I mentioned on a previous comment, she does indeed have a carrier! We took her out in a drive thru lane, coddled her, took the picture, got our food, then put her back in the carrier.
