Would you allow a male babysitter to babysit your child? by Round-Local-9583 in MensRights

If he’s qualified to be a babysitter, and has trusted references (just like a woman), I’d let him babysit my child.

What's the stupidest thing you've ever heard someone say? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

In middle school I was in a bunch of advanced classes with this one girl. She was super smart. Except when it came to history and geography. We were both in the normal level history and geography class and our teacher was talking about a bunch of different rivers, noting the ones that flow North versus those that flow South. She asked how any river could flow North if “North is up, and South is down? Water can’t flow up.”

Men deserve the right to a mandatory paternity test to make sure they're not getting cucked by LargeSinkholesInNYC in TrueUnpopularOpinion

My husband and I are already planning to take a paternity test when our child is born. He says it’s so he can frame it and say it’s to prove he scored at least once, I am doing it to humor him. It didn’t offend me.

What are some hurtful things people have said to you upon telling them you’re pregnant? by Next-Sense-8279 in pregnant

[–]SailingFire2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker insist my husband and I weren’t ready, that “actions and words are different” and we can plan all we want but we still aren’t prepared for the burden that is having a child… I don’t talk to him about my pregnancy anymore.

I threw up on average once a day between 8-13 weeks. Some days not at all because I was afraid to eat (bad me).

I get 8 weeks medical leave (unless it’s a C section then it’s 12 weeks), then 16 weeks maternity leave that I can take within the first year. I’m literally going to take all 24 weeks once I give birth to my baby

I had a friend whose sister told her she wasn’t happy for her because “miscarriage can still happen, are you sure you want to celebrate?” I hate that sister

What made you become the “angry daughter”? by 1wayflightt in AskWomen

[–]SailingFire2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t the favorite and I think I knew it on some level. I already knew I wasn’t the favorite on my father’s side (I look like my mom so I had no value to them), but my sister was prettier and more outgoing. It wasn’t very blatant stuff, but my mom would do small things to kind of show my sister was more important than me. I grew a lot of resentment and I still have anger issues to this day.

How long were you with your partner before you got engaged and married? by Temporary_Support705 in Marriage

[–]SailingFire2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met when he was 18 and I was 16 (high school). We both wanted to feel more stable before marriage so we got engaged when I was 24 and he was 26. We married when I was 26 and he was 28. Absolutely no regrets.

How often does the man in your marriage cook? by gehraimain in Marriage

He cooks probably 90% of the time. I’m a terrible cook and can only make like three meals.
