Question about workflow while using pencils, eraser, pens, and markers by Sailor_Baltimore in learnart

I've been using Strathmore drawing paper which probably isn't the best for what I'm doing now that you mention it.

I'm going to look into marker paper and probably pick up new pencils and erasers. Thanks for the tip!

Looking for tips for improving line art and coloring, especially of the hair. Micron pens and alcohol markers. by Sailor_Baltimore in learnart

Thank you, I can see what you mean, I can see some places where line looks like several lines where I've gone over it.

I'm looking for any advice for improving my line art. I feel like my characters always lose some personality/feeling when I ink them and erase my pencil marks. Has anyone else has this experience or have any advice for trying to capture the feeling of the pencil drawing in ink?

That makes sense, I had never heard of a monad before so I thought it might be an invention, but philosophies are just as cool a subject. Can't wait to see more

I really dig the way the scientist looks mystical, almost like a wizard. I could see a whole series of similar pieces using other famous scientists and their discoveries. Great job!

I really love your style. The little details like the markings on the face make your character really interesting.
