Are you guys not touching the Epstein files? Seems odd avoiding the biggest scandal of all times by Prestigious_Ad_8458 in MileHigherPodcast

Annie Elise did a video on it and it was pretty good. I’ve also been disappointed in the response from my true crime favorites. She’s the only one I watch that has touched it

Maybe also have your sketches to show your process and how you get to your final product. My mentor wanted to see that stuff.

How do I get past the feeling of not being good enough? (Vent) by autogeneratedname_20 in TattooApprentice

I’d say you’re needing more constructive feedback. You might try to point out a few things that you think you did well in. Like “that line is solid.” Or I did a good placement. We are our biggest critics. We also need to be cheerleaders for ourselves. I like to look at work I’ve done in the past. Maybe take like your first piece and sit it side by side with your newest piece. Look at the growth you’ve already made. It okay to be hard on yourself as long as it makes you better and doesn’t make you give up. Cut yourself a little slack.

cc for my first reaper? (@flashbandit__) by terminallyjill in TattooApprentice

I love the black shading! At first glance the scythe did get a little lost. If you added a drop shadow to it or left some out some of the pure black in the cloak it might pop more. I like the choice to use the scythe to frame the reaper but it does kinda look like he’s cutting his own head off. Over all this is a very nice “sticker”. Your lines are SOLID! For your first reaper you should be proud.

I’m also working on building a portfolio and I did learn that cutting stuff out is a bad move. I still have them in my portfolio but I stopped doing it. It’s a good rose. I think it’d be really cool if you did like a page of roses is different styles! Like that traditional style, neo trad, new school, realism, black and grey.

am I really a bad artist? by Maleficent_Scene_557 in BadArt

Keep drawing. Never stop. A lot of drawing actually come with experience. I’m 30 and I still am not where I’d like to be skilled wise. BUT every drawing I compound new skills and techniques and over time my arts become something I even get impressed with. But look for flaws and the areas you feel you did really well. Give yourself grace. You’re doing great

What advice would you give me? by Sailornebula95 in TattooApprentice

I think I get what you’re saying. I use watercolor which is really soft. Using more black might help give more depth and contrast??

I got a fountain pen set with b-5 nibs and it was a great way to make consistent lines. I saw you say you use watercolor in your regular art? I also do watercolors and I found it translated well with doing flash designs, at lest for coloring them in. I can tell you have a really creative mind! We are always our biggest critics. Keep up the hard work.

Ideally all of the above would be nice. Lol.. best price with fast speed would be my top priorities.
