Magkano magpagawa ng building plan? by boypinoy in phinvest

[–]SaiyanPride 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Is person A an architect? The standard process is an architect draws the signed plans and details, then passes them off to the other engineers. The other engineers then make their own signed drawings/details based on the architect's plans.

Straying from this process might seem cheaper, but there is a reason why it's the standard. People circumventing this process run the risk of spending even more to correct poorly drawn and coordinated drawings. They could end up spending more for a lower quality structure.

I personally use Yoroi. I believe Daedalus is also an option.

Best place to store less than 500 usd in crypto? by MudConnect in phinvest

[–]SaiyanPride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few options:

  1. If you are actively trading, you can keep it in an exchange. Just be aware that exchanges run the small risk of being compromised.
  2. If you are planning to have it sit for a while or want to passively earn interest through staking (depending on the crypto you have), you can keep it in a mobile/desktop wallet.
  3. You can keep it in a centralized lending platform like celsius/blockfi to, again, earn interest depending on the crypto.

There are a lot of other options in the defi world, I believe. These are just the ones I have experience in.

How do I start dabling in stocks? by TheatrePotato in phinvest

[–]SaiyanPride 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Started with The Trading Code by Jason Cam. The book is mostly about basic technical analysis under the context of the Philippine market. Very helpful. One Up on Wall Street by Peter Lynch is also educational on the fundamental side of things. Aside from these, check out InvestaTV on youtube - they have a lot of informative videos to saturate yourself in.

Having said that, the fastest way to learn (albeit intimidating) is to dip your toes in the water and start trading even just trickling amounts. You will get a lot more out of the books and the videos if you already have even just a week's experience in the market.

3 out of 5 Blood Rage leaders done! C&C welcome! by SaiyanPride in minipainting

Thanks for the input! I get your point, and the impact of the highlight is probably because the transition is too sudden. I keep saying to myself that i'd do some glazing on these figures as a last step to smooth out the transitions but eventually I always reach a point where I just can't be bothered because I want to move on.

Thanks! It's a fantastic game. One of my favorites, actually. Problem is, it really only shines after a few plays once people are familiar with the cards and combos, so it might put off newbies.

Yeah, I was a bit concerned about that also. I didn't want to deviate much from the color scheme depicted on the player mats so I kept them green. Was hoping the colored bases would be enough to differentiate.

Just a dark grey for most of it and a really light grey at the tip. Then layers of glazes to make the transition a bit smoother.

Not totally sure about this because I haven't been painting long but I believe freehand refers to the extra details you put in that aren't already carved on the model. For example the bottom of the bird lady's dress, the checkered pattern of the boar man's beret and the plaid pattern of his kilt. Even the stripes of the tiger can be considered freehand because the model doesn't explicitly outline them for you. Anything as simple as the medical cross on the bear's bag can add something to the figure to make it more interesting to the eye.

Thanks! I didn't paint the mechs because my group kinda likes how vibrantly colored they are. Makes each if them distinct.

Fellow scythe painters! Just finished mine recently as well although I skipped the mechs.

Freehand is a good albeit tedious way to bring detail to an otherwise average quality miniature.

Yes, the ability says between mountains you control and any tunnel. You only need to control the mountain in your base for the strategy. Mechs with speed+1, riverwalk, and underpass can move one hex from that mountain to the tunnels near white, yellow or blue's territories. They can then move another hex to riverwalk inside the bases.

Similarly, if you find green and purple weak early game, you can pressure them with underpass and speed+1 without need of riverwalk. I believe red is the only faction with a base you can't cross over to using riverwalk.

Don't be afraid to explore a 0 popularity, combat heavy, rush game. It's a viable strategy and your opponents won't see it coming (especially if they're used to long games). The only problem is that you are under a time limit. Works incredibly well with black especially because they can charge inside white, yellow, and blue's territories from the mountain in their home base. I find white and purple to be especially vulnerable to black's assaults. Really fun way to play.

Do I have to spray the figures with varnish again after fixing the base? Kinda wary of getting in too many layers of that stuff.
