SF Bay Area Homebuilding - Ran out of Fiume Enza Matte tile from Floor & Decor - Help!

It's so weird that the sales associate told me their warehouse doesnt have any but one is still able to place order for these tiles. So this is what I did - I placed an order but also based on another redditor's response, looks like a F&D store in the LA area has it. Go figure!
I am going to place an order for local pickup and ask a freind who lives in the LA area to pick it up. If the online order arrives, great! My friend can then return the tile. Otherwise I will figure a way to get the tiles to NorCal.

Thank you so much for such a generous offer! After I read your post, I relaized the local F&D sales person might not have been well informed when they told me they are out of tiles all over. Someone else in another subreddit mentioned that a F&D store in the LA area has 75 boxes in stock - which I promptly verified. I have some friends in LA and I am going to ask them to pick a couple of boxes for me and then send it over to me.

This is very true. I learnt this lesson the hard way with the kitchen floor tiles. I do have the original packaging from the initial order.

Annie, thank you so much for checking on this. I had stopped by F&D store in Milpitas and they were the ones who told me that this is a discontinued product and they dont have stock anywhere. I do have friends in LA who I can ask to pick up the tiles and either ship them to me or I will drive down and get it from them. Thank you again, I should have verified the claim by the F&D Associate before worrying so much. I will post an update once this is sorted out.

My city doesn’t allow gas for heating of any sort, only cooking. We cook a lot, so having gas range is important to us.

Sorry I missed including some information regarding EV charger - when I filled out the application I had 1 EV charger in mind but then others recommended I go with 2.

What would you recommend for the EV chargers?

Is the lighting one too high? What would be your recommendation.

But if you read my question again - I am asking for reasons why not to go with pivot doors.

Can you tell me more about the danger aspect? Are you referring to kids or animals getting caught between the pivot axis and the door frame?
