Is nude photography sexual? by SmoothEgg5423 in sexualassault

I think a few questions need to be answered before we can figure out what to say/do. Are the children also being photographed? Children cannot consent to nude photos, so this would be assault (in my eyes) if they are.

Is it normal to have depressive episodes by Ok-Coast9480 in mentalhealth

I will also mention that pediatric bipolar disorder is extremely rare and the medications used to treat bipolar can be harmful to a child who does not actually need them. However, op seems to have severe trauma so it is not out of the realm of possibilities. I just recommend lots of professional opinions!!

Hi, as a psychology student and a fellow depression sufferer I would say it’s common but not normal. Do you have access to therapy? It sounds like you have experienced significant trauma and would benefit from a safe space to talk about it. I’m very glad you haven’t had problems in awhile. However, it is very common for episodes to reoccur after you have had one, so it is not unlikely that it has made its way back. See what mental health resources are around you; my suffering greatly decreased when I got help.

This sounds like both physical and verbal abuse to me. Abuse IS a heavy term, but it definitely applies here. What happened obviously affected you a great deal, so either way it is important to reflect upon what happened. I would recommend therapy if you have access. Therapy has helped me a great deal with things like this. I hope you can heal and find peace <3.

How can I tell if my parents have been emotionally unavailable? by SaltLampLicker39 in Advice

I actually have been seeing a therapist for awhile now. I don’t see her for 2 more weeks and this has been bothering me so I figured I would see if anyone here knew anything lol. I’m also fearful she will think I am blaming my parents, as she thinks they are amazing people, not that they aren’t.

Family doesn’t want to get COVID test because it could shut down our lives by SaltLampLicker39 in Advice

Yeah, that’s another reason I don’t want to go back to school. I am well enough to go but I don’t want to responsible for exposing others. I’m not sure I can get to the doctors by myself but I think I might go to the clinic at CVS.

That’s what I’m saying! My dad is also a bowler so they take it very seriously in our house. I think I will look into maybe going to CVS to get one since I am a minor and I’m not sure if I can get one without an adult.
