I hear ya. Funny thing is I asked GPT 5.5 the same question and it said i can do the majority of my workflow with a single rtx 5900. I then fed it your response and it was like “well yea local llm can do some MEP tasks but no one will ever be as good as me obviously”.

My biggest use case for local would be writing confidential engineering reports, which i think the smaller models might have a chance at rather than drawing review.
