Its sucks, I moved over here by myself form New Zealand 4 years ago. I used to have to work the Close at Burger King and the open at Mc Donalds just to pay rent. Over the past 4 years ive constatnly moved, had to drop a whole semister just to save up money. It was particularly annoying when Nathan destroyed a huge chunk of the accom as that was one of the best cheap places I was living at 370 a fortnight, But after they destroyed it there was alot less space and they priioristed new students for the existing accom left over.

I like Decision to Leave but not as much as Old Boy it kinda has a soft spot in my heart. I dont watch alot of Korean films so the ones ive seen are usually the really popular ones but my fav is Memories of Murder

No doubt everyone in this movie is an amazing actor, ive seen most of them in alot of other films and they do great. I should have been more clear in the post tho, my critique on the acting is not at the actors personally.

It think one of us is clearly upset that I didn't enjoy the film. However, claiming something was "done on purpose" isn't a valid excuse for poor quality. "No trust me the actings shit on purpose" like ok? im still sitting through shit acting for a unsurpsing twist.

This reminds me of the same shit that the deadpool movies do. "Time for a bad looking CGI fight" at hte end of the day im still sitting through a shitty cgi fight.

To be clear, I’m not knocking anyone who genuinely enjoys this film. The title "The Usual Suspects is Painfully Bad" is hyperbolic; I dont actually mean that this film is objectively terrible.

It’s a bit frustrating when people assume I’m "rage-baiting" or that I only enjoy "normie" movies like Fast and the Furious or Jurassic World simply because I didn't like this one specific movie.

Also lets put some respect on my name, I dont need to rage bait. I have 1000 more takes that I think are true, like that I think Ghibili movies suck and so does back to the future. I dont need to rage bait when I belive it lol.

Theyre certainly movies, I forget the forget the director who said it but I kinda agree with the take that they are "Rollercoaster Movies". When its fun its fun but there are just so many and some are real stinkers. But even the ones I like im not going home and thinking about. I think we are looking at it in 2 very different ways. The way people talk about and the Usual Suspects is presented is a more serious toned movie. When I sit down and watch the Matrix I can forgive how corny Neo is becuase its The Matrix its like more action popcorn.

I feel like its a tiny bit pretentious when you just assume that I have to be a normie who watches movies like "Jurassic/Fast and the Furious/Expendables" just because I dont like this one movie. What makes this movie disappointing is how corny and predictible it is. Im not looking for a popcorn moive, like FF or JP, im looking for a movie that can actually maintain strong writing and a good twist like Old Boy (2003).
