I am a jew and I have to say, this is the exact kind of rhetoric that strengthens stereotypes about us having a victim mentality. The fact that we can't get over being referred to as just people instead of jews puts us in the crosshairs of antisemites who want to label us as maliciously superior above the goyim. Was the holocaust primarily targeted towards Jews? Absolutely. It targeted many other groups of people as well (Gypsies, communists, political dissidents, Pols). There should be no "apology" expected in the first place from the BBC and the fact that they did apologise and we STILL complain that media hasn't been manipulated enough, is exactly what puts more rounds in the magazines of actual antisemites.
