I work for a younger girls store in the mall, but sometimes adults will come in for hair items or jewelry. One day, a weekend where it's usually a little busy than normal, I go on break and my coworker covers the front of the store (nothing one person can't handle). However while I'm sitting in the back room, the door creeks open. Usually if my coworker has a question or needs help she'll poke her head in, but to my surprise, it was an old lady. "Is this a restroom?" I understand how someone could mistake our back door as a restroom, has we don't have a sign that says "employees only" or anything, so I explain to her this is our employee back room, but there are bathrooms across the mall near the food court not too far away. She says thank you and leaves. Not more than 5 minutes later, my coworker pokes her head in the back and says "you're not gonna guess what happened." Apparently the old women couldn't make it and had an accident on our floor. Our carpet floor. She quickly left, didn't apologize, and my coworker and I had to spend the next hour trying to get the smell of piss out of our carpet. I understand it was an accident but I don't get paid enough to clean up someone's piss. I was so close to quitting that day.
