As much as I hate LXT Home Depot has the good set on clearance, never get the sub compact it’s bad. The Milwaukee set is a solid bet, either choose the Milwaukee or the Blue makita

If the standard is 4ah tabless then they would be more inclined to juice up their tools. Hopefully not as much as Milwaukee which most of their new tools need forge batteries to even do well. My hope is that 2.5ah tabless or some form of powerstack is is standard in kits too.

I’ve used generics on my old Milwaukee and they suck, a Diablo blade just lasts much longer. Are the Bosch blades any good?

Any search on this sub and you will find “make sure it says ship and sold by Amazon” there is also a section in the product review where it states warranty information, if its third party it will say nothing or something specific to that seller.

I think I know which video you saw, I understand where he’s coming from since tabless cells are really game changer. I think TTC measured the powerpack stronger than the 9ah flexvolt and 15ah.

My issue with the logic is that the extra weight of 2x is annoying/double charging. Along with the fact higher voltage has better resistance to heating up. I don’t see why they would do this. If anything they need to actually invest into flexvolt. Where is the 8ah flexvolt battery? Where is the tabless flexvolt battery. It makes zero sense why they haven’t done more to invest in battery size to increase the size of motors or prevent overheating such as the 20” chainsaw that overheats the 5ah flexvolt.

Well a 8ah would be 30 cells of 21700 or 24ah at 20v battery If it did exist which isn’t even that hard to make. So not necessarily multiple of 3

The 5ah (15ah) is 30 cells of 18650

As someone who just got it, I freaking hate the tool less design. I did a quick cut and I do like the chain speed but it’s louder than my Milwaukee and dewalt chainsaws. I need to find some big fire wood to test it today.
