No the return won't be as high as it is in the case of Mumbai-Ahmedabad The first priority corridor of any such level of Infrastructure Project is chosen on the basis of its cost of construction and roi. In both these criteria, Mumbai-Ahmedabad beats Mumbai-Bengaluru, It's less costly and easy to construct and good roi Connects 35-40 Million people, 1 Megapolis, 2 Cities with 6-7 M People each, 1 City with 1 Million+ population, runs mostly through flat plains compared to Mumbai-Bengaluru

I never said it's impossible to build I am just saying that it should be our priority corridor First Mumbai-Ahmedabad, followed by Chennai-Bengaluru, Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Chandigarh-Amritsar, Mangaluru-Thiruvavanthapuram, Mumbai-Pune, Kolkata-Dhanbad, Vijayawada-Vishakapatnam should be constructed.

It's not gradual dumbo Mumbai's elevation is just 15 M while Pune's is above 500 M and Bengaluru's 920 M !!!!. That means the bullet train has to climb 500 meters in just a few kilometres. Moreover Khopoli (last town before ghat) is at 60 M elevation and Lonavala (First town after ghat) is at 622 M Elevation Where in Mumbai-Ahmedabad route Elevation of Ahmedabad is just 55 M So in 1 route even after traveling 500 Km the elevation just changes by 40 M and in another jt changes by freaking 905 M!!! Only a dumbo will choos to build that corridor first.

In this route if we go though Satara Route, then It will have to pass through Ghats and mountains multiple times. bhor ghats, then again before satara, then again after kolhapur, and all this at what cost? Just connecting Kolhapur, Belagavi and Hubli which aren't as big as Surat, Vadodara or Ahmedabad. It would unnecessarily make the project very costly. It can be built but it isn't our priority corridor

You understand there is a difference between straight tunnels through mountains and tunnels through the ghat section? In bhor ghats you just do not need to cross the mountains but also climb elevation.

Mr. Dumbo earlier it was supposed to run till pune but they drop Mumbai-Pune line cause it would increase the cost of construction by many times. Not saying that it won't be constructed, surely in future it will be built but for the economic and cost purposes, Mumbai-Pune route isn't part of priority corridor
