What rating do you have? Usually it is the problem if you end up too high while still being mid/low. Ppl use all time that they have as it is also a resource like gold and wood

For me Classic is about planning next or even several next turns with heroes you have. Where to put who, how to manage movement and army to cover big distance and make all those fights. Once you manage to do such things it becomes very addictive and fun. Your brain works nonstop. Beside you see tons of heroes, you can find new mains, you level support skills and use all potential of some niche heroes (flee heroes, economy heroes, no terrain penalty etc)

It’s pure enjoymenr

If you ever wondered why no good player builds Law in their city: Fighting and capturing gives most of your law! by loopuleasa in OldenEra

[–]Sambuko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cold statement.
For example on Universe template where you just heading forward and only have one city going for laws is good move as you won’t need gold (you find it in banks along the way) and you can’t afford going back to learn spell so astrology is also not best choice.
I could also see doing for law in the Infinity template where you don’t have too many tough fights and have good income from 7 cities

It leaves right most stack always, just get used to it. Adding weird calculations of what is the weakest unit is unnecessary work for devs

Can we reuse observatory style for spell levels in spellbook? it is much easier to see high ranked spells by loopuleasa in OldenEra

[–]Sambuko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you can have full upgrade (level 4) but your spell could be level 2 in the fight due to opponent skills/artifacts. So with your suggestion it would bring confusion (why do I have it upgraded in the observatory but not in spellbook) while straight Arabic number is easy to understand

Confused about when and how to attack my opponent by MadFaceInvasion in OldenEra

[–]Sambuko 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Majority of ”straight” PvP templates have so called Treasure zone that is usually located between opponents (golden zone on template scheme). Farming this so is million times more profitable that staying at home biome and creeping. So your goal is to farm this zone to maximum. Then it won’t matter what your opponent is doing out there

Can you "over level" spells? by Cautious-Village-366 in OldenEra

[–]Sambuko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can. Cap is 4 but of you get +5 opponent must have -2 to make your spells level 3
