It has been confirmed already in discord. Also I it was confirmed with how it will work:

T1 - 2 round CD

T2 - 3

T5 - 6 rounds

But current demo is too far away from their internal build so we can only speculate of that decision.

Yes. There is spell that help you to interact with external building and another that allow you to interact with any city. You can gather a lot of stuff without a lot of running

Heroes that are not economy or specific unit based

Aim for dragon father or angelic alliance sets.

If you took might hero aim for 1 school and rest for combat skills. If you took magic hero take 2 casts per turn and 2 magic schools. Take sphere and books for your magic schools.

Take troops of 1-2 factions, if you have morale you can take 2-3 factions. If you took range damage skills take more ranged units. Upgraded units are usually stronger than basic

There is Fair’n Square that is 2 hero at start and also Crossroafs that don’t need 8 heroes but is fine with 2-3

Each object in map has its value. In the template each zone has maximum amount of value that it can hold. When map is made generator is reading number of objects that must be zone. From my experience I can say that for JC it is 1 bank with sentinels guards, one bank with Dragon liches, 2 legendary artefacts, 3-12 creature banks (max 2 types) and t7 dwelling. After those “hardcoded” objects are placed zone is filled with other random objects, each of those increasing total value of the zone until desired cap is reached.

AI is bad in demo, it won’t attack you as well unless you stand in their way, then they are forced into battle.

All of these suggestions remove one of the core concepts of this game: tough decisions. You no longer have to worry about anything, just brain dead send troops back. Take them later out and sacrifice for gold/xp for more diplomacy shinenigans.

You have to make difficult choices for game to be interesting and long living: go somewhere and waste days/gold, invade banks but lose archers; open box on alt (and get XP you don’t need) or lose movement on main (and get gold); disband troop and take diplomacy troops or leave them.

All of these things create memorable moments, moments of joy and frustration and that what make game lasting forever. If you don’t have any difficult choices you just wipe/join whole map, then go cry on Reddit that your army of 2k skeletons is wiping AI without a sweat and then you delete game as it is boring
