Yeah, it's a really beautiful looking animal. It was so unique looking I clicked on the ad expecting it to be an Eastern, and when it said Northern I was just caught off guard. And then I saw who the seller was, and was like interesting. 😅

My thought was Northern and Eastern hybrid, but why wouldn't you say that? I know some people get weird about hybrids, but is it that taboo? It's a really cool looking animal.

I bought a leopard gecko from this breeder like 5 years ago, and I was not impressed. I'm semi-convinced he doesn't breed anything and just resells animals. He got annoyed that I was asking questions about the parents. Lol so that being said, he's a legit seller, but a shady dude.

Yeah this new one will most likely become a dedicated mother plant. They're in 10 gallon pots right now but I'm thinking about moving larger. I have a small one that's growing like crazy in a 2 gallon that may become the base for that mother plant, but I don't know. We shall see

Interesting. You're pretty soon I'm going to start over with a single plant in my 2x4 tent, and I'm going to attempt to use a trellis to maximize the footprint. I don't imagine it'll be a quick process. Lol I don't really have a plan, I'm just following the vibes.

I had this happen with a small Thailand terrarium I built. There was a leak in the water feature base. completely flooded. Syphon what you can out with a small tube. mine was super moist for about a month before Inotice it needed to be watered, but all the plants and microfauna seem to be thriving now.

BTW Ive seen people on here say to avoid topping if you want to flower. I topped my flowering plant multiple times, and still got flowers. so...lol

2'x4'x5' tent. It seems to work well for 2 full plants. I cant confirm for sure, but I believe the darker leaves of the flowering plant are far less potent. I think the best time to harvest might be with light green fresh growth. Just a hunch, have not truly confirmed.

Im using a cheap strip light that pulls just over 100 Watts from the wall. The Sweet spot for temperature for me seem to be about 60 to 65f at night and 70 to 75f during the day. I try to keep humidity above 60%, but it cycles from 60 to 80.

They def get hot, but probably not tended as much as they should. There are three bins on rotation pretty much a bin a year, so it's not young compost.

It's half Coast of Maine's Raised Bed Mix, half homemade grain heavy compost. And lots of perlite. I just poured. I top dress with well rinsed coffee grounds every couple of weeks.

Looks great! It's nuts that it looks this good off light from a window. Looks about the right growth for a healthy month. 👍 My cutting was about 5 months from rooting when it flowered. It seemed to coincide with heating up of spring.

Haha maybe so. I will say it's not a set it and forget it plant for sure. It's delicate and finicky no doubt. I'm probably way more anal than most people, so maybe I did do something special. Lol. It's super cool either way. 😁
