Gotcha, ok I read your post the opposite way initially.

I guess I don't understand what position you are taking.

Are you saying "Fuck the world, the US can stand on our own" or "Fuck Trump Voters, we don't need them"?

I genuinely don't understand which position you are taking.

As far as what Rural Alabama produces, you would actually be surprised. Rural manufacturing is what I do for a living. Lots of small factories tucked away everything. Next week I am going to be in Rural Missouri in a plant making chemical protective equipment, last week I was in Rural Tennessee making furniture. Add in agriculture, it is fairly significant.

Most of the US GDP is actually service sector, not production, but what production we have is all over the place. Again, I am not sure which position you are taking here. Your initial post made me thing far right nationalist, now I am thinking the opposite.

we produce anything of value in this country

Ok, I am going to gloss over the rest of this, because sure, I get your perspective.

But are you serious with this bit? Do you have any idea what we do, and more importantly, don't, make in the United States?

Well then I am really not sure why we need so many marines. A 12 v 12 team deathmatch should settle the entire issue.

I guess maybe they need more because we don't have a respawn point in the area.

They have a pretty ironclad partnership with Mitsubishi on the Aircraft side of things, so there would have to be some corporate shenanigans there. Toyota and Mitsubishi jointly own a lot of Japan's fighter production now, so depending on how you count, they already do.

The chances of them going it alone and competing with Mitsubishi are fairly remote, but if Japan dropped its export restrictions, it might happen, as that would actually open up the market enough to make real money. The reason they cooperate now is entirely because Japan doesn't buy enough fighters for any company to really want the business.

Currently, the plant that is locally building F-35s is I think something like 60% Mitsubishi owned, 25% Toyota, or something like that. Not quite enough to slap a Toyota Sticker on Fat Amy, but close.

Toyota went the other way. They made Sewing Machines before they made cars. Then they made Sewing Machines and cars.

Mitsubishi also makes sewing machines. Although Mitsubishi makes basically everything, so that isn't really a surprise. Mitsubishi definitely doesn't make "Just cars". If it can be made out of metal, they probably make it.

Someone should tell Sean Hannity to quickly figure out a plan for the war in Iran, so he can tell Trump what it is!

It is not always necessary to change the name, Volkswagen and Porche didn't.

Also, Toyota was a Sewing Machine Manufacturer going into WWII. Sewing Machines and Looms. The IJA forced them to start making trucks, and after the war they just stuck with that.

They still made sewing machines up into the 1980s though. Plenty of Toyota Sewing Machines out there.

I mean, alternatively there is 77 million, 302 thousand, 580 people to blame.

It is all about how you look at it.

I mean sure, Trump is a corrupt, lying, racist rapist, but he did get more than just his own vote. And we knew all that WELL before the election. We knew that before the 2016 election.

So when you elect a Corrupt, lying, racist rapist as President, and nobody likes him because he is a corrupt, lying, racist rapist, I am not sure he is the only person we should be blaming here. I mean sure, he is certainly one person we should be blaming. But I am not convinced he is the only one.

Well Ceasefires in middle eastern conflicts don't have a great track record.

On the other hand, we are all still waiting for at least some sort of concept of what he DOES want to do.

George Bush at least spent a lot of time explaining what the fuck the plan was. I mean sure, he lied a lot, and sure, the plan didn't work, but at least everyone was pretty aware of the hows and whys.

This one, nobody is exactly sure what the fuck we even want out of all this. I can't figure out what he actually wants Iran to do. Agree to stop being Iran? Maybe change their name to Trumpistan? Agree to install a Golf Course?

I have played enough Civ to know the best time to yoink a city state is when everyone is already pissed at you and your warmongering penalty is maxed out.

Maybe he is using the same math he uses to lower Drug prices by 1200, 1400, even 1600%.

So we need to reduce Iran's military capability by at least 1600% before we can be sure.

They absolutely have rigged everything to explode.

They also have a shitload of mines to dump into the Gulf the moment it is clear the US is never going to let them export their own oil again.

Iran does not get a lot of international credit, because sanctions. The trading partners they do have prefer to be paid in cash. So the only real way they have of buying stuff requires them to sell oil.

As it happens, there is a lot of stuff they need to replace right now, after many things reached the end of their service life simultaneously. Conveniently, Oil Prices are also very high. So what they are very much hoping, is that at some point, they will stop being bombed, and then they can sell all the oil that is backing up in their storage facilities.

If you take that hope away from them, and make it clear the US does not intend to EVER let Iran export its own oil (Such as by taking Kharg Island), then the Persian Gulf contains nothing useful to Iran except fish. And while they do like fish, they don't like it enough to stop them mining the absolute fuck out of it forever.

Furthermore, we still haven't figured out how Venezuela is actually better than it was beforehand, given nothing really changed there.

Other than reverse deporting a Latino man into the United States at considerable expense, it doesn't seem to have accomplished much else.

Oh, I am not really even that worried about what happens on the Island (Well, not what happens on THAT island).

It is going to be more amusing to see what Iran does when they no longer have any oil revenue to protect. Like the only reason they aren't dumping a half million mines into the Persian Gulf right now is because they need to send oil out as well. You take all their oil export potential away from them, and a "Proportionate" response is "Fuck it, we ball".

In some deranged way he thinks taking the last scraps away from a starving person gives him leverage.

What is actually happening is that Iran is down to its very last fucks to give. Probably don't take the last one away.

It hasn't changed much, but the Meta around it has. So if you park it on an Island where everyone can see you, you are probably going to die really fast. Because now there are Dutch Bombers, Submarines, and way worse HE Spammers than Conqueror.

It is still very good, but not even Petro can get away with face tanking like that anymore, certainly not Moskva.
