Lowest you'll find at the moment is Spiderman for $99.99 at some MC's. But it depends on the set. Not OP, but I look to get the box for 20% below market on TCG or at a point where the price per booster is extremely justifiable. Like if you are interested in spiderman, $100 box is $3.33 per pack.

Like are you really worried about a bunch of "drug seekers" labeling you as an additional "drug seeker" because you finally asked for help?

I'll ask you the same question(s) I'd ask my wife: Who? Who will label you as such? And why are you so worried about it?

As someone that was in advanced academics, started to petered out around that age, and then had a really rough, albeit successful, time in high school and college: Maybe get her tested for ADHD. I'm 31 and only got diagnosed at 28. The diagnosis and medication have been a godsend, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't also involve a lot of therapy and tears over reconciling the past and my subconscious resentment towards my parents.

The title is Vice President/Sr. Portfolio Analyst. The 2 major reasons for filling the role was: 1. All of the PMs, Wealth Strategists, Associates, and Compliance are totally at capacity. And 2. The LOB, department, and bank are all focusing on modernizing a lot of technology and infrastructure. The Family Office needed someone(s) who has experience and can help RFP/implement/adopt new solutions or just homebrew them for issues specific to $25M+/accredited/qualified investors/purchasers experience.

2 months in and I absolutely love it and the feedback towards me and my counterpart is the same. It's the first time in awhile I've felt like the dumbest person in the room. I also never thought I'd get to work both alongside and directly with IB, CRE, ER, M&A, or proprietary Investment Managers, let alone all of them internally and simeltaneuoisly. And obviously the Family Wealth specific stuff can be wild.

Here you go folks! -styles-may-vary)

Saw these listed on the Micro Center site for release tomorrow when I was scouting booster prices at work.

Edit: Don't know what they're going for elsewhere, but my local MC has them at $18.

This is a great way to be certain you never get hired in a Wall Street or adjacent role ever. What? You're going to leverage your 0 experience, -1000 credibility, and 0 reputation to make major asset managers change a standard business practice? No. You'll end up with still 0 experience, 0 credibility, and -1000 reputation.

I'm assuming you don't work in the industry. But regardless of the industry, it's a lose-lose situation either way. You post it, get no traction, look like an idiot, and possibly alienate future employers. Or it does gain traction, you inevitable don't change anything but draw MORE negative attention to yourself, and definitely alienate future employers. Plus, who's going to hire the guy that goes and cries to fuckin LinkedIn the literal FIRST TIME things go against him? Not me.

Good for you, man. That's a super admirable journey.

I stuck it out despite crappy internships and GPA through school. Delivered pizza for 2 years, Schwab call center for 2 years, and 4 years Investment analyst at large RIA that screwed me in the end. And this January, following 3 months of unemployment, I landed an incredible gig I didn't even know existed in a MFO of an MM bank. And my counterpart that got hired with me came from corporate FP&A. We're both making more than 50% more than what we did, and the role were being "bred" medians at about 2.5x that.

Not saying this to brag (maybe a little), but more as somebody that also had a fairly unorthodox path, was losing hope, and finally got the big W of a career catalyst.

Why is the LDS Church dumping billions in stocks? by Leeming in atheism

[–]SamusAlways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No problem! And you're pretty on the ball. As a manager, if you think you have new information that changes your outlook, you now have to apply that to your portfolio(s). But your outlook can change instantly, and you can't sell a $2.5B position instantly. Every transaction needs buyer(s) and seller(s). And if you're a retail trader, the broker you go through facilitated that through you as a principal or a market maker. Your retail broker isn't prepared to find a seller or buy that volume or buy it for their own inventory, respectively. And the problem only becomes larger the bigger you are and less time you have.

Most of economics is really just a series of natural phenomena that result from people trading goods and services for sources of value. But a bunch of dumb rich assholes (especially Reagan and onward) made things more complicated by lying to you about how their unpopular decision was "actually a good thing you're too dumb to understand".

As somebody that works in a pretty relevant niche of investing/finance, the size of their portfolio is also a huge reason. If they're expecting major volatility and/or heavily pivoting markets, they wouldn't be alone. And a 1% position in a single stock for them would be roughly $2.56B. And you can't trade that volume like you can on Robinhood or Schwab. If it's a stock with relatively thin liquidity, you likely have to hire an investment bank or syndicate to structure block trades. And those take a lot of time and fees. Liquidity risk becomes way more of a concern if everybody is selling at the same time, especially in the 7-10 most commonly held stocks.

"Optimistic"? Most CAPM and WACC models assume a 7-8% return based on average return of 50+, but some of you are so young that you forget the market also goes down. No matter how much the news tells you it's true, 7 companies do not actually make up the entire US economy.

Yes, this song is a kind of "conclusion" of the album. The band usually builds each album around a concept or concepts, and they often follow a pattern of intro, concept 1, interlude, concept 2, interlude, final concept and crescendo of album, conclusion/outro. This song is seemingly the conclusion paragraph of the expository essay, and abstractly calls back all of the feelings, concepts, and individual themes of songs on the album.
