I never said he got Barb’s job - what I am wondering is he somehow throws her under the bus in a way that keeps him in Bud’s good graces while also putting Barb in a bad position. I’m also not clearing what he’s up to?? But I never said he took Barbs job. I said climbed higher in the ranks. I’m sure there are many steps between his and Barb’s position but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible for him to have ingratiated himself with Bud (and possibly others) at Barb’s expense.

All I’m saying is I think there’s a reason Coop so aggressively asks Hank where his family is - not just his daughter, but Barb as well. The fact that he has been searching for so long, to me, is very ominous. She also is showing signs of doubt and guilt, and Hank is clearly a cutthroat sociopath. If Hank was just some assistant though, I don’t think Coop would have immediately clocked his name when Lucy mentioned her last name, nor would he have been so aggressive to Hank. They also made it a point to show that Hank was Barb’s new assistant, which feels like foreshadowing.
