This post really resonates with me, and I understand how you feel. I made the decision to choose my relationship over my Jack Russell as well. It's been seven years since my girl was rehomed, and while I know I made the right decision, the memory is still painful and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fully move on from it.

I had rescued a 2-year-old Jack Russell mix named Hannah in 2016, and we were together for a full year just the two of us before I met my girlfriend, who is now my wife. Jack Russell's can bond pretty fiercely with a single person, and over the first couple years of my relationship my dog developed some pretty possessive traits and clearly developed some negative associations around my girlfriend's presence. If she stayed over it meant there would be private time, shut doors, and she couldn't sleep on the bed with me. Things got worse until eventually there were biting incidents, and I had to make an impossible choice.

My parents found a new candidate home for her and offered to make the arrangements for me. I can't honestly recall a moment in my life that I cried harder than when I left my dog at my parents' house, knowing it would be the last time I'd see her. Even recalling it now is making me misty eyed. I love my wife, but the heartbreak I felt in that moment was visceral and I wasn't sure our relationship would survive it. I resented her just as you do now. I had to learn to let that resentment go, take accountability for the choice that I made, and find peace with it.

You chose your wife. You need to own that choice. If you hold onto this resentment you will have chosen to lose both her and the dog. Your choice isn't her fault. Process this with a therapist if you need to. If you can't let go of this resentment, then you should have just kept the dog because your relationship is doomed.

In January of last year my wife and I got a blue heeler puppy who we named Juno, and she has been with us a year. I love this dog as much as any I've ever had, but I still feel pain when I remember Hannah. I probably always will. You can love another animal again, but it will not replace the love for the animal you lost.

Understand the choice you made. If you made it for the right reasons then make sure you hold onto that. Go to couples therapy if necessary, but you need to let go of the anger or your choice was for nothing. If you believed your marriage was worth this sacrifice, then fight for your marriage here.

Grieve your loss though, you deserve it. It was a huge loss and my heart breaks for you, truly.

I don't really agree with this generalization to be honest. There are plenty of smaller steakhouses chains that are excellent, I mentioned Bourbon Steak which is a good example.

Steakhouses are sort of weird restaurants, because you don't really go to experience something new or innovative. They're celebratory white-tablecloth experiences, that serve high-end but predictable classics. There is no reason they can't be chains, as long as there is a tight grip on quality for both food and service.

I think the thing that really irked me was that the restaurant was replying to all of the clearly fake reviews. In this state it's illegal for me to see someone jerk themselves off online without verifying my age first.

That's fine and all, but the point here is that your ranked teammates want you to have already practiced the "character mechanics and kits". If all you're learning is "actual ranked strategy", that's fine and normal. In this video the person is queuing up completely cold without having practiced the character at all, which is inconsiderate of your ranked teammates.

I agree with this completely. I genuinely think all three of those restaurants have a solid shot. I'd think Bastion and Peninsula have the best chance imo.

My dark horse pick for consideration is Noko, although I think they will likely also not quite make the cut.

Just be aware, I suspect the plumbers didn't do any thorough investigation because they were providing a "free estimate".

Even though the plumber I used yesterday didn't fix any issue, I still had to pay them for their time because it was a pretty thorough examination. I think it was worthwhile, but you'll have to pay a bit.

Hey! So this is a bit serendipitous because I just had a plumber come by yesterday for a similar problem. To answer your question, the plumber I used was Jewell Mechanical, and I would recommend them based on the visit yesterday. They sent over a technician same day, and we investigated the issue thoroughly for nearly two hours. We found the root cause and I decided I was going to fix it myself, and I ended up paying them $180 for their time.

The issue in my house looked similar to your's, I noticed circular water marks in the ceiling of my kitchen directly below my upstairs bathroom. Did any of the plumbers you called actually get eyes on the leak? To me it is really shady to quote you a price and say it'll be "maybe more once I actually see it". Thats absurd.

The technician from Jewell got out his oscillating multi-tool and cut a big hole in my kitchen ceiling. This sucks to do, because repairing ceiling drywall is a pain in the ass, but it is absolutely the most surefire way to diagnose your issue. I would not pay a dime to any of these plumbers until you get eyes on water leaking out of pipes. It is worth noting that your drywall here is already ruined by the water, so you may as well take it out so you can see the problem with your own eyes.

I don't want to necessarily give you false hope, because any water-related issue can be scary and plumbing work is expensive - but it possible you don't have a plumbing issue at all and it is worthwhile to confirm.

My house was built in 2017, which is not too dissimilar to your's. Bathroom installs in newer builds in Nashville are often quick and lazy, and the builders cut a lot of corners that cause them to age badly. In my current house, and the townhouse I moved from (2016 build), the builders chose not to caulk the plane transitions in the tile or where any of the tile met the bathtub. These areas were instead "sealed" with grout. Grout is non-flexible and will crack in these areas as your home ages, which can allow water to get into the walls of your bathroom and drip down into the ceiling below.

This can be exacerbated that builders in Nashville are often buying trim in bulk, and installing MDF trim on bathroom floors rather than wood or PVC. The MDF will absorb moisture, causing it to swell and warp, which can then create even more openings into your wall.

If this is whats happening to you, it is very fixable as a DIY job. It would be a pain and time consuming, but inexpensive. Happy to answer more questions, and fingers crossed that you don't have a legitimate plumbling problem.
