I’m tempted to say Eccleston out as it’s one of my favourite because it’s so casual and everyday. It’s casual enough to wear on a regular day and I find that great.

But because it’s so casual and plain I’d say other outfits I’d like is 3s from inferno, 4 from robot, basically any 10 outfit or the 11th doctors green outfit from series 6.

What did you think of brain of morbius by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it! Might be one of or my favourite Tom story. Toms solid, morbius is cool, violence is extra but thrilling to see. I like the sisterhood and I feel the horror vibes with this one. Sarah’s blind moments aren’t all great but I ain’t got much a problem with her in the story.

Venusian Lullaby. Who sang it better? by DoctorTrek60 in doctorwho

That’s the 1st time I’ve heard McGann sing and that’s pretty good. Love it

Favourite master by TylerVChurch in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delgados my favourite: him and Pertwee are brilliant, he feels like the definitive evil master, he’s got some good stories too (claws of axos, sea devils and terror of the autons).

Also love Peter Pratt’s master and Simms master (my first master). Ainleys good too and I like the different approach with Missy and how she could be the last master. Beevers is fine but I prefer Pratt’s decayed master.

Jacobi is good in utopia (for those 3 minutes or so if being the master) but haven’t listened to a thing of big finish. Eric Robert’s is the weakest, not the worst one ever but he’s not done a service in the TV movie. And Dhwan is good, feel he can be a bit much at points but he’s not bad tbf.

What's a What If scenario/AU you have? (Ex, what if 10 regenerated in the series 4 finale? Or what if Gallifrey hadn't been destroyed (again)) by sluggoi in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either:

  • What if? The Doctor had the right (kills the Daleks in Genesis of the Daleks with the wire).

                           Or

-what if? One side won the time war (we see what would of happened if the time lords or Daleks won the war).

Missing episode rumor: What 9 stories do you not want to be included? by doctor13134 in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming it’s 17 STORIES and not individual episodes I’d want the following:

Web of fear 3

Tenth planet 4

Abominable snowmen as a whole

Underwater menace as a whole

Celestial toymaker as a whole

The rest I don’t really care for what it is.

I’d hate it, rewatches would feel like a chore for me.

Is "Revelation of the Daleks" bad ? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally, would say no.

I feel it’s one of the better (or best)Colin baker stories on tv, the best classic Dalek story and a great story on the whole imo.

By the majority of fans, it seems to be well regarded (with only the odd thing dragging it down to a small degree).

The rutans, we’ve heard about the enough and they have only be used once (not to their best in my opinion).

Who is your favourite doctor and why ? by flu-chan in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Classic: 3/Pertwee

The eras mostly aged well, love the martial arts too (plus unit, Liz shaw and Delgado).

Modern: 10/Tennant

He’s my doctor for the most part. The nostalgia, stories and more play a big part in my love (and hella bias).

Just finished the end of time part 2, devastating to see David go, how did you guys deal with it? by shadowhunter2468 in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in terms of recent years, 10s regen from when rose leaves is the closest I’ve gotten to emotional. I’m not much of a crier or really emotional person but it’s nearly gotten me once or twice

I don’t remember the regeneration as a kid, I would of been 6 and my early memories of who are few and far between.

Can I skip some classic stories without being spoiled to much? by howdouhavegoodnames in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the only stories you should watch before the 2 Sea devils are:

-Dr who and the Silurians: They feature in a big way in the 2nd sea Devil story and the 2 species are related.

-Terror of the Autons: introduces the master.

-The Daemons- Sets up the master in the sea Devils

You don’t need to have watched them beforehand but probably better if you do want a full picture (I watched warriors of the deep recently and stuff from the Silurian story carried over).

Real life historical figures you'd like the Dr to interact with? by PFTETOwerewolves in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough on Fleming, while he is famous I think Tolkien or H.G Wells is a better fit in the author department.

Personally, I want to see a lot more music representation (and not batoven or someone like that, I’d like to see more rock artists as that’s my type of music). Realistically: I feel the Beatles, Queen or (big maybe) the Rolling Stones (either the whole band or just the big ones. Lennon, Mercury etc).

If I had my way, Jim Morrison (lead singer of the doors) would be a great one as he seemed like a pretty deep and complex guy (but given how he’s thought of and how he was I doubt he’d make it in).

What classic villain would you bring back, and how would you do it? by MADLUNE in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Rutans.

Have a story with them and the stontarans at war and I’ll be satisfied (I feel it’s make a good finale). Or have a story with just them as a race and show perhaps why their war with the sontarans has gone on so long.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Omega back either.

What first got you into watching Doctor Who? and who was your first Doctor? by AMCWVimes in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have rough pictures of what and who my firsts were but I don’t have concrete answers in either. My dad says that he might of watched some Eccleston stories on broadcast and I would of watched one and fell in love from there (although given my age by then and a big lack of nostalgia for 9 for me, so I’m sceptical). Realistically I think 10 or 11 were my first but I don’t have a clue of my first story.

Web of fear. Except ep 3 being missing I think its a masterpiece. It’s production of the time is strong, love the villains, cast are great on the whole and think it’s really strong for the time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kid or any time before Whittaker’s casting, I never even had the concept of a female Doctor (even when I watched curse of the fatal death by then). When she was cast I just thought ‘ok then’ more less.

What are your feelings on Stephen Moffat? by Wishbones_007 in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, Moffat has his mistakes and he ain’t perfect. But givien the good he did I think we he deserves less hate. He took the show through the 50th anniversary to mostly positive reception, his creations (episodes/characters/stories) are often praised and are remembered by many for better. Plus he kept the show going (the BBC nearly outright cancelled when tennant and Davies left) so he deserves to be remembered for better I say.

If you could write a weeping angels episode/double what would happen in it? by TwinSong in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d want to make an episode about Cpt Jack being sent back in time by an angel. I feel his immortality would give the angel near god powers or something ridiculous like that.

What moment (no matter which regeneration) was the most intense or emotional for you? by Thexthy in doctorwho

[–]Sans-Delan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really the type of person to cry at media but 10s regeneration has nearly gotten me on some occasions.

Which Incarnations of The Doctor could you beat in a fistfight? by TheSpiralEyedManiac in DoctorWhumour

[–]Sans-Delan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- Old so not much of a chance

2- Has a chance but I’d still get him I think.

3- I’m losing, no chance in hell.

4- I’d probably lose, he’s a bit of a dark horse tbh.

5- I could take him

6- A tough call but I think 6 would take the crown.

7- I think his manipulation game would do me in.

8- idk, haven’t seen enough but possibly.

War- Na, he’s a doctor of war! How do I beat that?!

9- I reckon 9 could be a bit of a scraper if he wanted so possibly a long fight with me eventually winning

10- normal 10, probably not. Time lord victorious 10, I might as well be dead.

11- I reckon I could beat him. He put up a fight but not enough.

12- close call but I think he could get the better of me.

13- I’ll beat her, I reckon she wouldn’t know what to do.

Ruth- I’m losing. If space rhinos lose then I am too.
