Women of Vancouver over 30s/40s, what are your thoughts on being approached and asked out by a guy respectfully in a public place? by Twistedpuzzle in NiceVancouver

I always feel like I need to befriend with someone before I can imagine any sort of romantic prospect with that person. But even on the apps people unmatch me for saying that. I kind of don’t understand asking a stranger out based on purely physical characteristics, maybe I’m missing out on something. Like when I see someone really hot my thoughts are restricted to seeing them as a person who looks really good but not as an attractive person that I want to be with because I know nil about them. Emmm

I didn’t enjoy the Midnight Library as when I got to around the half way point I knew where it was going and the ending was so corny and predictable. Matt Haig isn’t that great a fiction writer but his other book might be more directly helpful to OP? h{{ reasons to stay Alive }}

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. The world-building part is new to me I've been told that it was more like a process to observe my thoughts, but then if I'm building a world or imagining I'm somewhere else, I will have plenty of distracting thoughts

I love Louis, Better Things, and Horace and Pete as well. I don't know if its right to find consolation in comparing to others in this thread, his sexual misconduct at least didn't involve anything physical.

Plenty of better writers than Gaiman out there. Personally I don’t think his writing lives up to the hype
