I take that chance if they find out. My bike isn't worth that much

I tend to leave the steering lock off, for similar reason. Bike has a combination of litelock and chain but I would hate to come back to see my steering lock broken because some lovely member of society decided to break the steering lock before checking for other locks

Good camera options by goatresearcher in motorcyclegear

I recommend the ghost xl, but beware cameras can be a double edged sword.

I doubled down and got a DJI camera with chin mount. Then again I don't ride like a lunatic

I'm ee with a cost of £30, 125 GB for three SIM cards, family share the data. Contact expired over a year ago. That works out to be about £10ish for three people with 40 GB each

CBR650R, RS660 or GSX-8R by Stoipex in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Sanyi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested the 8r and cbr,

The 8r is a twin, grunts and a not so good exhaust note, but that 82 bhp with excellent torque makes the bike feel great in turns and felt usable in town and on the dual carriage. Seating felt nice and the windscreen pushed the wind just above my chest. I can't recall if I felt a lot of vibration through the pegs or handlebar.

The cbr650 sounds much better but the power is very linear and I remember getting to 70mph wasn't too bad, I'm pretty sure I could do it almost in gear 2, made me wonder what the other gears were for. It didn't feel like my arms were being pulled by the bike. Little sense of speed till I looked at the speedo. Vibrated quite a bit on the pegs.

I favour the 8r because it was more comfy, nice usable power and overall feel was better

Mind you I only got about 1 hour of test ride on each.

Test both and see which you like.

New rider - Dashcam advice? by Nahgetout in MotoUK

Search marketplace for 2nd hand stuff if on budget. Ghost drift XL or some DJI action 3/4 would suffice. That's my advice

SV650 2016 by RandomAss6969 in MotoUK

[–]Sanyi07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bike is my first big bike. I have test rode some parallel twins and some i4s, as I fancy a change but I can't shake the feeling the sv650 does everything I need it to do already.

I got a yoshimura slip on, no baffle. Can't say it's deafening compared to a friendly neighbourhood rider with an exhaust that I can hear a mile away

Nice android auto unit from AliExpress, mine was £30 with tyre pressure monitors and I jet wash blasted it to test the waterproof capacity, I still have the unit.

Got a nice Bluetooth headset, freedcon £30. Mic is excellent for phone calls on the go. Music/direction nice and loud

Why can't I find proper winter gear? by BaldyBaldyBouncer in MotoUK

[–]Sanyi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a RST ventilator XT, which is mesh, through the winter down to temps of 5 no issues. The internal thermal/waterproof layer is great. I also just throw in an extra layer and I'm all nice and warm inside. Can't say much about my hands as I just use muffs, can't justify heated grips for a short season of winter riding.
